I'll commit sacrilege here. Uy is my second favorite anime my favorite is slayers! The tv series dubbed in english by Software sculptors. It's the show that got me into anime and I've never found a replacement for it. Lum is the hottest anime chick and Uy is my second favorite anime.

I tend to jump around a whole bunch of different offerings as they pop up - currently, however, I'm closely following the releases of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, which is a surprisingly well done series. Definately worth digging up for any fans of the first major movie release.
Also, there's this other anime series (not UY) that Rumiko Takahashi had a hand in which I enjoy to some extent, but I'll leave the precise designation of that series to someone else's clever and deductive guesswork. *Cough*

Yep, I believe it's Inuyasha.

There are a ton of great anime to choose from. Makes choosing a "favorite" almost a mountain of a task. Of course all of the Takahashi anime is great, Maison Ikkoku, Ranma 1/2, InuYasha. Rumic Theater is also pretty good, although I'm not sure if that's what the english version is called. Beyond Takahashi's stuff, two of my all time favorites are old ones called Outlanders and Robot Carnival, neither of which I have been able to find on DVD. Project A-Ko is also another great one, although I enjoyed the original much more than Project A-Ko: Love & Robots and Project A-Ko Uncivil Wars: Battles 1 Grey and 2 Blue.
Azumanga Daioh is a fairly recent series that has a strange "charm" to it. Maybe it's the shows sense of humor or it's memorable cast.
For ACTION you just can't beat any of the Mazinger series like Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger, and Mazinkaiser. I'm a huge fan of the older style animation and the way a lot of action series would have their characters "announce" their attacks.
PHOTON BEAM!
The series that I've watched and rewatched the most though would have to be Big O. I don't know what it is about it that is so interesting, but I just never get tired of watching it. The plot makes almost no sense to me whatsoever, but the animation is beautiful and the action is top notch.

I haven't read the manga but i have to say that i loved evangelion!! it's a great story very dramatic, it's just great....
After lum my favority is with no doubt evangelion... just great... and there's an difficult relationship between shinji-kun and asuka just like lum and ataru....

The end was not what i expected...
The two of them all by themselfs... i didn't really liked the end but the entire serie is cool...
And after that fight that asuka had against the angels it's cool that she could get back to herself and stay with sinji-kun... do you like the end of EVA moroboshi?

Heh, I needed to watch it twice, and the second time I read something that helped me to understand a lot of details about religious terms used and referred to!!
And yes, I appreciated it a little more this way...
But I don't think there will be too much people interested in investigating on sacred texts to deeply understand the meaning of the series...not to mention the way the last two episodes were produced!!!
They can say what they want, I think those episodes were a sort of insurance for the movie, to force the viewers to go to cinema to see the ending not properly shown in tv!!!
And IMHO this wasn't nice!!
The manga is still publishing but I hope it will fix the bugs of the anime, and as for now it's a really good product!!

Bubblegum crisis is one of the oldest oav series ever produced!
Kenichi Sonoda's characters were very well done, expecially the girls... :D
Animation quality was above the average of the tv series and the great soundtrack of all those episodes is still one of the best productions of japanimation! 8)
It was the '80ies...wow, time passes quick, huh? :/

They both aren't from Earth, they both fall in love for a guy from Earth, every other girl seems to dislike the guy, they both have powers no humans have (shock/fly and goddess powers), they're both beautiful and they both don't know much about Earth's costums.

Now thats hardly fair... On my last trip to china the food was rather decent.
On the menu that trip were the following(minus chinese names)
Horse meat: Like chewing through a hunk of tendons. Now I know why we ride horses in the states instead of eating them. Poor *
Pig Stomach: It was like chewing a spicy peice of chewing gum or rubber for that matter. Takes some getting used to.. ok **
Squid: Now the squid wasnt that bad. They had some of those baby squids that you can pretty much eat in one gulp. The baby squids arnt that chewy but the adult ones, now they require some hefty jaw muscles to get through. Decent ***
Seaweed: Awsome. ****
Tea: Ok, imagine going to the gym, You see peopel carrying sports bottles with water and maybe gatoraid. The chinese have the same tendacies but instead of water they carry used water bottles with tea leaves in the bottem. Awsome. ****
Lamb: Ok when I went to china I nearly starved my self until I had their breaded lamb. By that time I was so hungry that the lamb tasted like cheese buritos. I inhaled about 4 plates of their lamb. Awsome. ****
Beef: For what little I had, Awsome. ****
So in all, Chinese food is pretty good. Now chinese take out is not real chinese food. Its american food plain and simple.

My two favorite Anime's are Urusei Yatsura And Detectiv Conan.
Probly they both comes at the same place, since UY well you should know yourself why that is my favorite. And Detective Conan is probly my favorite becuse its complex always something intresting in it and it cinda never gets boring. Besides its over 500 episodes wich should keep me busy for quite some time. ^^

Yeah, it's hard to choose, comparing comedies to serious genre just doesn't work.
UY always comes out on top though, no matter how I look at it.

Unfortunately,Urusei Yatsura is "one of a kind" anime,so there isnt an anime that follows it same principles

From what I've seen, Ah My Goddess is the closest to UY you'll ever find, but it's still not close enough to be called close (confusing :?).
