What do you think of Mao?

Mao is the newest creation of Rumiko-sensei, that begun serializing last year. The synopsis is the following:

"Nanoka Kiba is a female high school student who 8 years ago escaped a near-death experience due to some supernatural circumstances. In the present, one day she again finds herself involved in dangerous supernatural events, but this time she is saved by the mysterious Mao—a young man who apparently came from another dimension."

I read the first chapters last year and yes it's interesting but it felt like she's trying to make something very similar to Inuyasha. I was reading and seeing Inuyasha all over, specially since I saw Nanoka, the girl from the story, travelling through time and having special powers. Besides that, expect the usual and welcomed japanese mythology stuff and Rumiko's usual art. It's early to talk further more with so few released chapters. It's obvious that Mao will get an anime adaption in a bunch of years. I didn't like Kyoukai no Rinne that much, but I'm positive that Mao will be better, since I liked Inuyasha very much.
