Hello everyone
I plan to start a small project, where i will write about every single animation of urusei yatsura :) i never watched anyhting related to this cult classic, and im very curious to see how it goes, tommorow i will start first episodes :) I hope it is not against rules?

Hi kamil good to see you back! I dont think its against the rules, we will love to hear whats your opinion and discuss about the series, it will be great to enjoy all the series again with you!, I'll be looking forward to hear your thouhts about the series.

Opening: Lum no Love Song is considered a classic, sung plenty times by various singers, and i can see why, very catchy and fun song, im big fan of 80's songs like this
Episode 1
- We meet Ataru (Quite unlucky guy, but, i can see it as karma for his leech nature), Shinobu, apparently girlfriend of Ataru, how can she tolerate his flirtous nature?
- Lum, another main heroine, is really nice looking alien girl, who hs ability to fly, and can electify people, poor Ataru
- Earth will be conquered if Ataru lose game of tag with Lum, he has to cath her horns in 10 days (As explained by Mr. Invaader, one of nicest invaders ever)
- If Ataru lose, his family will be lynched, sure, no big pressure
- Shinobu promise Atar to marry him, if he wins, unfortunately, he yells "Now i can get married" shortly before he grabs Lum horns, and right after that, now Lum thinks Ataru will marry her :)
Episode 2
- Ataru friends fall in love with Lum, so they kidnap him, so he can ca Lum for help (Loved that Shinobu scream, when she find out, what Ataru will get for calling Lum, and him agree to call her, voice actres did excellent job)
- Ataru is tied to school tower, and his friend begun chanting, it summons..Space Taxi, with takes them to Ataru house, now he need to pay money, that is worth all oil on Earth :)
- And that's what Space Taxi do, literally start steal all oil, and of course Ataru is blamed for all this, his family is saved...by Lum, who offers to pay for course, if Ataru allows her to live with him, and Ataru agrees (After getting a beating)
- Space Taxi returns all oil, in form of rain, no smoking allowed :)
- Shinobu seems to hate Ataru now, i wonder how it wil all ends?
That first 2 episodes, i really liked it, characters are funny, and voice actors do great job, plot is very crazy in Dr. Slump like way, looking forward to see more :)

Hi kamil! Glad you liked the first episodes, episode 1 is one of my all time favorites, lum no love song is as you said a classic!, this series only gets better episode with episode, enjoy the series, keep sharing your thoughts!.

Episode 3:
- I can sympathize with Ataru, for long time, i was afraid of lighting too, and to this day i hate how it can damage electricity (I always diconnect my PC and consoles, just in case)
- Ten is pretty feisty kid, i was afraid he will be annoyig brat, but, to be fair, it's Ataru who picked up on him first he get so close with Shinobu and Ataru mom :)
- Ataru and Ten fight..cause Ataru family house getting blown away
Episode 4
-And house get rebuild very fast somehow :)
- Lum teach Ten some stuff about Earth, mainly swallows and houseflies, Ten give swallow candy, with gives it lots of energy
- If only my physics teacher was like this :) And poor Shinobu :(
- Swallow become penguin from eating Oni candy..ok :P
- Penguin become Penguinzilla, giant flies... :mrgreen:
Wow..these episodes..my mind almost get blown away, it seems i can expect Dr.Slump craziness, almost everyone is so over the top, so far, Shinobu seem to be most normal person here, normal compared to others :)

hi kamil, glad to see you back, ten is in fact pretty annoying you know, but well, the series would not be the same without him, you will realize that later... some people really like ten, others hate him and i dont blame them!, about shinobu being normal... we will see if you think the same at the end of the series ;), weirdness its one of the best and more representative things of our beloved series UY! I hope you learn to love it, as the classic it is!, but wait! no major comments about our lum? :'(, well at the end you will lover as much as everyone else so, no need to hurry :mrgreen:, greetings my friend enjoy!

Episode 5:
- Another, in Ataru words, obnoxious alien appear, his name is Rei, Lum ex fiancee, when he gets excited, the turns ito giant cat thing, he challenge Ataru to duel for Lum heart.
- Shinobu gets really upset when she find out Lum is pregnant with him (According to Lum) and give Ataru nice choreography beating.
- Ataru mom is such a slut, poor Ataru dad :)
Episode 6:
- Poor Rei, getting dumbed not only by Lum..but also doll :)
- Rei keep chasing Ataru and Lum, trying to propose to Lum, but instead, propose to every girl in town :)
- Ten, you little..telling everyone where Rei/Ataru live, and all because he is bored ;D
- Did i mention Ataru mom is a slut?
Another new cast member, interestingly, he can't speak Japanese too well, and can transform into monster, with result in two very wacky episodes, but they also had some serious moments with Shinobu, who thought about her relationship with Ataru, as for Lum, i can't really say too much about her right now, she is little obnoxious and childish, but..i admit she is pretty charming (She is not annoying as Chi Chi from Dragon Ball, wo was so obnoxious, so, thats plus :) )

oh man lum its totally charming! she is childish, thats true, but its part of her charm ;D!, I had never thought of ataru´s mom that way but, I guess you´re right! but you know, we all make mistakes! :P

Episode 7 and 8:
- Never heard about hanging carp streamers, you learn something new everyday :)
- Kintaro is voiced by Ms. Nozawa, right? I will always recognize Son Goku :)
- Poor Ataru, even bear feel sorry for him, when Shinobu and Lum are nice to Kintaro
- While looking for Kintaro spaceship, crew just had to blew up entire buliding and destroy rocket
- If my nursery school teacher was this hot....wow, space children..Poor Ataru
- Ataru helps space nursery teacher by taking care of children, and take them to trip to preschool
- These preschoolers were great, so brutally honest :)
Wow, these 2 episodes were literal trip, very strange ones, fun, but strange.

Hi kamil, its great that you´re back!, you have a good ear, kintaro its voiced by nozawa, about learning new stuff everyday, you will notice that you can learn a lot of japanese culture with UY, there´s a lot of folklore, legends and traditions in the series, but to tell you the truth the first 20 episodes are not my favorites! with the exception of ep. 1 ep. 10 and definetly , it gets a lot better after those ;)

Episode 9 and 10:
- We meet another new character, Miss Sakura, very strange priestess, Cherry niece, who tricks Ataru, promsing she will clean his spirit...instead giving him her own problems :) However, she later cures him in Episode 10, when she become school nurse. For once, it is not Ataru, who get a.s whooping at the end.
- Make virus big to tell everyone, what is wrong with Ataru, great, but also not so great idea by Lum :)
Great episodes, Machiko Washio was great as Sakura, and im shocked she didn't get more major roles, that exorcist scene was awesome.

I love the beginning of ep 9!, and the ending of ep 10! :P

Episode 11:
- Worst episode so far, i felt really sorry for Ataru and Shinobu, both Ataru mom and Lum were such b.tches here >:( Only thing i liked, was Shinobu scratching Ataru during phone conversation
Episode 12:
- Much better episode, i knew about many Friday 13th legends, but it is first time i heard about demon one. Poor priest messed up at the end :)

ah come on lum aint that bad, :P but yeah maybe she overdid it a little... ;D, his mom on the other side... she truly can act like a b..tch sometimes!

Episode 13:
- Felt little sorry for Lum, when she cried from not being able to useher powers, but, she didn't have to rub it in Shinobu face, that she got ribbons from Ataru (On the other hands, that how girls are in RL too, especially while in love)
- Poor Cherry, Lum probably gave him nicee beating
Episode 14:
- Lum create Ataru voodoo doll, and is able to control him, with gives Ataru idea to create dolls of everyone who picked on him, just have to create dooll, and put hair in it (Lum collects heair, as prove of her love) with involves almost whole town, except Shinobu..Again, Lum tries to get hair of Shinobu, and Ataru chase after her, with cause dolls to be left unguarded, parents find dolls, and all hell breaks :) Little disappointed episode ended in best part.
Fun episodes, we even meet Shinobu parents in Episode 14, who might be only normal people in this crazy world :)

Ah, she looked adorable with those ribbons! That annoying monk got zapped for sure! ;D, and Im glad he did!, he deserves it, and the same goes for ataru, the only one I feel a little sorry its for poor shinobu, she did nothing wrong but, thats life.

Episode 15:
- Even while sick, Ataru is still perv, so are his "friends"
- Ataru is pulled to Neptune, since Oyuki computer connected Ataru closet to bed
- Mistress is not really an insult Shinobu :)
- Oyuki friend is really jealous of her, and goes with Ataru back on Earth, seeing military once again going to Ataru house, his parents decide to return back to hot springs :)
Episode 16:
- Ataru, Kintaro, Lum and Ten go to past, and all hell breaks, as Ten is mistake by dinosaur baby, and Ataru is chased by pink female dinosaur (That was awesome :) ) They manage to return...together with dinosaurs :)
Pretty funny epsiodes, but i admit im not too big fan that they recently end abrubtly, without any conclusion to tchem.

The abrupt endings stop after some more episodes, I dont like that either.

Episode 17-18:
- In these two episodes, we meet another new character, Tengu Princess, Princess Kurumu, very hot looking Princess you may add ;) Tengu bring Ataru to wake her up with kiss, so that he can have one night mate, Kurama however absolutely refuses to have babies with such leech,a nd attempt to clean his dirty mind, it don't go well at all of course :)
Funny episode, Kurumu is pretty interesting character, again, didn't liked how Episode 17 ended without conclusion, but other than that, i liked it :)

the introduction of kurama its a hilarious episode!, I have always liked kurama episodes a lot!, next episode its one of my favorite ones! and one of the very best in the whole series!, well my humble opinion in any case ;)

Episode 19-20:
- Xmas Eve episode, where Ataru "friends" try to show Lum what type of person Ataru is, by setting up trap.
It is like you said, what a lovely episode, my favorite so far, i really liked Lum here, she is so sweet and caring, please tell me she will appear like this more in the future :)

Episode 21:
- New character, Mendou Shotaru appear, with very cool intro, to announce New Year Special episode, that take place 1000 years into past, we meet Ataru and Shinobe ancestors, and Lum have to save Ataru and Momotaro from Oni
Interesting episode, i heard about Momotaro in some stories, so im some familiar with character, narrator was Kabuki style too, if im correct? over all, good episode.

Japanese folk its common in the series, this episode was funny but, this is one of those eps.that I prefer the manga version.

Episode 23:
- Sakura invite Ataru and crew to disco, and it truly beomce disco fever, with Sakura boyfreined trying to impress her uncle Cherry, to allow him to marry her.
- Loved disco "Lum no Love"
Episode 24:
- Kurama keep trying to make Ataru better man, by going back to past, to meet her ideal men, her Papa (When Ataru tried to make stoic/normal face, it was so funny)
- Lum hire priest, to make Kurama father unable to have children ;D
- Ataru touched by Kurama's father, decide to create goal for himself..by dating 1000 women :) (Poor girl in glasses, he skipped her)
Interesting, full of puns episodes, and disco music is always big plus :) That part at end of episode 23..i hope it didn't cause any seizure problems.

hmm, what part are you talking about? I cant remember anything special, in ep 23.

At end of it light is very bright, from electricity and disco balls :)
Episode 25:
- Lum win Hawaii trip for crew, Miss Sakura and Cherry is also there, someone steals girls swimsuits, and boys are beaten up, Lum spots bald head at sea, snd now Cherry is main suspect, crew chase him to cave..it turns out to be octopus ;D
Episode 26:
- Ataru, Cherry and Sakura take on restaurant Hell challenge, if they eat everything, they don't have to pay for food
- Good job Sakura, you win, but you also ruined peoples lives, making tchem close restaurant, and seriously, to eat so much...what sort of monster are you?
At first i thought they will be typical anime beach episodes, but, they were really interesting, with interestiing plot.

oh, now I see what you meant!, those beach episodes are pretty funny, UY its not your typical anime series,huh? ;D ;)

Episode 27 and 28
- New student, Mendou Shutaro, make every girl in class fall in love with him, and guys make Ataru, his polar opposite, duel with him, he gets saved by Lum :)
- By using Pachinko computer, Lum have to choose between Mendou and Ataru, Horoscope machine tells it is draw between them, Lum choose Ataru, because she prefers him :p
- By Ten interference, everyone becomes star, Ataru mom hopes he will stay that way, worst parent in anime history so far
Funny episodes, that introduce new character, who is voiced by great Akira Kamiya, rich a-hole, who would put any guy in school to torturę chamber, so he can have all girls for himself, Lum is only one not fazed by his sweet talk, she is very loyal.

oh, you bet she is loyal!, that´s why everybody lover her so much!, about ataru´s mom being the worst parent in anime history... you have seen nothing yet!, just you wait, you will see what im talking about in some more episodes ;)

Episode 29 - 30
- Lum "asks" Ataru to join in yearly battle between Oni and Gods of Luck clan...who will first throw enough balls into buckets, win..one of enemy clan members is girl named Benten, with cause Ataru to switch sides, Lum fights to get him back
Another new interesting character appears, once again Cherry was jerk, and Lum last laugh was hilarious :)

Episode 31
- New teacher falls in love with Lum (It is not really lolita complex Cherry :p ) with make Ataru his no. 1 enemy, thanks to help of Lum, teacher is caught trying to kiss her, and is so embarassed, he want to be far away, Lum gladly grant his wish..by sending him on Moon :p
Episode 32
- We meet Mendou and Lum mom, becasue of small misunderstanding, they both send their army to battle with each other, Ataru's mom propose tchem to play roulette instead, and she end up winning money from tchem, resulting in another Ataru house destruction by both armies at same time, Ataru is not only idiot in family
While episode 31 was pretty cute, with Lum naivety, Episode 32 is my favorite so far, i laughed so hard when Lum mom throws Mendou mom cow into her spaceship, turning it into beefbowl, when Ataru is excited about war, tries to talk with Lum's mom in broken English, and when Ataru's mom got so happy with all money she won, my small nitpick is, how Lum's mom was able to understand when Ataru's mom talked about roulette rules, if she don't speak Japanese (Unless they have that game on their planet) Now Ataru's mom knows how it is like to screw up, and Lum's mom is hot :)

oh, who would not fall in love with her :hehe, mmm interesting, I like both eps. but I absolutely prefer the first one, they are both great eps. in the end!, ah, I guess Im a hopeless romatic...

Episode 33:
- Mendou brings very old camera to class, that should never be tocuch, as i t turns out it teleport people to different worlds, Ataru ends up hitting on Cinderella, Juliet, Cleopatra, until he ends up on boat (To Lum and class amusement. He kinda did it to himself, Lum tried to bring him back :) )
Episode 34:
- Ataru saves women from suicide, since then, he becomes completely different person, and even managed to beat Mendou in tennis match, it turns out to be Devil work, as Ataru run multiple time in same road, with cause summon of Devil
It was fun to see Ataru being leech, even in different worlds in Episode 33, and it was nice to see him being badass in Episode 34, i was really surprised why Devil was summoned, i thought it was because of that coin he took (Ataru crawl toward it, and save women by accident, as his body nullified falling) Wonder what was point of that coin and suicide attempt?

I dont believe there was any reason behind that coin kamil, haha, just UY madness! you know, first time I watched ep. 34 I was very pleased when ataru defeated mendo, its a shame it wasn't legit...

Episode 35 - 36
- We meet another new character, Ran, who wants to get even at Lum, for stealing boy they both used to love, Ren, and want to seduce Darling, and steal his youth
I really like Ran, she is very cunning and manipulative, and her voice, my god, You Inoue did great job, switching from cute and mad voice, she sadly passed away due to cancer, but..she will live forever through characters she voiced :( It was both cute and sad, that Lum was only one concerned when Ataru left with Ran doll (Parents didnt care, and "friends" were too drunk, and one of them sing ending song)

Yes, ran its a great character!, series wouldnt be the same without her, I understand what you said about ataru but , deep down they really care for him, and we cant deny he can be a jerk too!

Episode 37
- Lum goes one day into future, and steals Ataru diary, then returns to present, giving Ataru diary, so e can tell what is going to happen.
Episode 38
- Mendou find strange looking alien baby in his locker, and try to put it into Ataru locker, as strange thing s should only happen to him, baby escape, and it turns out, it is alien, who neds fuel in forms of 100 yen, alien flies away, but... :)
Both episodes were hilarious, Ataru really act like pervert, and deserved that police chase ;) Wonder, if that bit with "Mountain, river" when Ataru got lunch meant something, and why was Mendou found it so funny, that Ataru have diary? :) And episode 38..my god i laughed so hard, Mendou deserved all that :) Lum was so sweet at the end, when she asked "Im not that weird now, am i?" And didn't even electroduce Ataru, as she hugged him :) It was little rude of her to read private diary, but..Episode 38 made me forgive her :)

Ah!, her cuteness its starting to get you! ;D, you cant get mad at lum, even if she was a little rude, she did it because she cares, mendou and ataru both got what they deserve!, so kamil, what do you think of the series so far? are you enjoying it?, I hope so, greetings my friend!

Yes, i do, it is pretty fun, it kinda remind me of Dr. Slump, with all its wackiness, it can be pretty serious too, like that Christmas episode :)

Episode 39:
- In order to pass to next class, young spirit Shunmin have to make all people in Ataru class sleep, however, both Ataru and Mendou refuse to sleep, Shunmin tries to put tchem to seleep with sake, but..she mess ingredients
Episode 40:
- Ataru crew have to compete with Wizard of Poetry, or else they will be eaten, Ataru goes first, and luckly for him, after 500 years of stagnance, Wizard forgets how to do poetry. Wizard lose, and Ataru think he should eat him :)
Both episodes were little strange, as they were focused in Japanese culture, it was nice of Lum, to save Ataru in Episode 39, and be only one who didnt want Ataru to go first in Episode 40 :)

strangeness and weirdness are the signature of UY 8), thats why I love this series so much. so far I remember all the eps. you had watched!, we will see if I can remember all of them...

Episode 41:
- I feel sorry for Lum and Shinobu, having two Atarus with different personalities, that match needs of girls, could solve all problems, but Ataru mom had to screw everything up, by giving them Cherry potion, that make tchem have identical personalities :p
Episode 42:
- We meet two new characters, dream amter, and Baku, his nightmare devourer beast, Lum was so cute, watching Ataru sleep :)
I liked both episode, but..didn't liked fact, that Episode 41 ended without conclusion, to be honest, it is getting obnoxious >:(

yes, I hate unconcluded eps. too, but they are not that much fortunately! I know it can be a little annoying but, the series its worth it!, some of those eps. (not all) have different endings in the manga, when you finish the anime and if you like to read manga too, you could give it a try!

Episode 43 - 44
- Lum's dad invite Lum to party, unknonw to her, it is party he set up, to find her new boyfriend, Ataru and Ten go to Oni planet, and..thanks from help of anti marriage resistance, they save Lum
- Cute new ending, sung by Ms. Hirano, Lum actress :)
Great episode, Ataru shown he really care for Lum, and rush to save her, it was so cute, i also liked secondary characters of Anti marriage resistance (And nice cameo of Kamen Rider 1 and 2 at Ataru class :) And Lum looked really cute in that party dress :)

she always looks cute! mmm I cant remember for sure but I belive the ending you are talking about its kokoro bosoi na, if thats the case kamil, as far as I know the song its performed by helen sasano! I could be wrong though.

Episode 45
- While on school trip, Ataru (tricked by Shinobu) save withered kappa, and is invited to their kingodom, for saving their king, kappa give Ataru sirene...class, who was worried he died, is not happy about it :)
Episode 46:
- Ataru, Lum, Mendou and Shinobu go inside cave (Each with own idea what they will do after they "accidentally" seperate) get lost in cave, but..they manage to find spacecraft who crashed inside, they also find pipe that lead outside, but..they eat too much, and are stuck.
While epsiode 45 was interesting, with kappa, Episode 46 was comedy gold, Mendou fear of darkness cured moment girl look at him :) And Shinobu "First eat, than immediate regret" so true :)

The subs, on those versions of the ops and endings, as far as I know, where subbed by AnimEigo, but Im not really sure about this!, back in those days, it was difficult to get your hands on the eps., and when you could, they where mostly in japanese, so, a lot of fans started to sub and dub the eps, I have seen eps. with subbed intros and eps. without them, I can tell you for sure who did those of the link, but, I belive it was, as I said before, animeigo, maybe another member could tell you more about this...

Episode 47:
- Ataru and Ten buy pair of earmuffs, and switch bodies, what happen next, can be described as pure chaos
Looks like we have one 20 minutes episode, instead of 2 10 minutes episodes :) Very funny episode, taht show, what happen, when everyone gets body switch earmuffes, and Ataru mom is still bi.ch too :p

That ep. its hilarious!, I love the way ataru takes advantage of the situation, yes, from this point forward, there are no more 2 ten min. eps, and honestly I like it more this way!, why?, because this way almost all the remaining eps. have a proper conclusion, as we discussed before, open endings are a bit annoying, so, Im guessing you too will enjoy long eps. a bit more ;)

Episode 48
- Ataru take care of school caterpillar with huge appetite, and have to defend it from furious classmates, after it eat their lunch. It later turn out to be fairy :)
Very sweet epiosde, it was nice for Ataru, to take care of someone else but im, and to believe Caterpillar will grown to be beautiful butterfly. It was so sweet, when Fairy called Ataru Papa, and Lum Mama :) We also find out guy in glasses (Ataru friend/rival) name is Megane

Great episode indeed!, megane´s name its in reality satoshi!, megane its just his nickname, if my memory serves me right, its means "glasses" or "four-eyes" 8)

Episode 49
- Everyone help Ten to date with Sakura, who he fall in love with
Sadly, i didn't like this episode that much, it was very mean spirited, and i Ten was brattier than usual, to point of being crazy lover.
Episode 50:
- Count Dracula ask his servant to find young beautiful maiden, so he can suck her blood, sadly for him, he is incompetent :) Ataru promise tohelp servant find right girl, for date with girl he knows...and they meet Ran and take her to Dracula, Ran is formidable enemy to Count :)
Very funny episode, poor Dracula was so miserable, and so his servant (I laughed so hard when he land to take breath..on cross at church, and when he transform into girl, to fulfil promes to Ataru, Lum laughed so much :) )

mhmm funny, I found ep. 49 very funny, but I have never liked ep. 50 a lot!, I dont know why, I just dont find it funny and its weird, because I know a lot of uy fans like this ep. in fact someone on the forum said its his favorite ep! ,but hey! its uy, so... 8)

Episode 51
- Lum goes 10 years back to past, to cure Ataru from his girl chasing attidute, she is followed by present Ataru
Ok episode, im not big fan of someone forcing somebody aginst their will, to do their bidding, but at least Lum apologised, and learnt to not doing it :)

Episode 52
- Ataru and Ten buy gardena flower and decide to raise it, to impress flower girl, Cherry tries to stop tchem, and get his butt kicked :)
Good episode, nice to see Cherry getting beaten (I loved, when his artifical jaws printed photo Ataru stomping on him) Ataru plan to use flower was surprisingly well thought, Flower come alive, thanks to Ten greenhouse, and try to win flower girl heart too, but is rejected, Ten suggest it to hang itself, but it instead move to Ataru house, and find new love interest :)

Episode 53:
- Ataru helps cursed rain girl, who was cursed by mistakes of her father
Interesting episode where seriousness is mixed with silliness, it was nice to see Ataru being so dedicated to help the girl, even when demon little girl showed herself in his dream and later make him ill, ending was touching at first, and then break into silliness, overall, like Cherry said at beginning, do not break your promises with a demon :)

I have always found this ep. kind of sad, for me it has a melancholic touch... this is one of the reasons uy its my favorite series, it makes you laugh, it makes you think and sometimes its even sad, not a lot of series can do that in my humble opinion.

Spisode 54:

Ten really is annoying brat, and it was nice to see Ataru pay him back, and Ran, she is so funny, i actually felt sorry for her, when she got spanked as a child because of Lum, she is my favorite character so far.

- In library, Ataru and crew help cute librarian from World of Books to put books in correct order, or else characters from books will leave book, at end librarian girl turned out to be..Wendy from Peter Pan :o
Funny and interesting episode, i loved how Mendou act innocent when Ataru looked at Bikini Girl book, yet take a look anyway, and when Ataru heard that characters will come alive, he throws everyhting away, to look for Bikini Girl :) Poor Shinobu, both Ataru and Mendou ditched her away, no wonder she throw bookshelf at them :) Wonder if they had license to use all these characters, Spiderman, Superman, Wendy..and many others

Episode 56:
- Lum joins Ataru school, along with new teacher, Mr. Hanawa, teacher also become trainer of boys and girls volleyball team, and ask Ataru to join, they all have to help girls captain, Natsuko, with her boy hate problem.
Funny episode, done in parody of 60's sports anime i watched in childhood, Natsuko even looked like main heroine of Attacker You! I loved her obession with volleyball, to the point of making scary face, and her "People who say "No matter if you win or lose" should be treat like this" and proceed to beat down mannequin :) And when she destroy everything as she run from Mendou she fall in love with.

- Goblin is found at bottom of Mendou swimming pool, and is thrown away, only to move to Ataru house, Ataru mother tell him to throw Goblin away, Ataru crew go to beach to leave Goblin there, in a box, and they find another box left by little boy, with dog inside named Pochy, boxes are switched, and Pochy turns out to be..Cherry :p Ataru and crew say they preferred Goblin :)
Sweet episode, Goblin is really adorable (Althrough, Mendou suspects, he might do it on purpose, to make them feel sorry for having to throw him away :p ) And that ending, i didn't expected that, how dog could be mistaken for old man? :d

- Ten invite Rei to visit Ataru and Lum school, as you can imagine, it won't end very well :)
Very funny episode, from Ataru being able to trick Mendou into year worth portion of beefbowl, to Ran giving Rei lunch box to calm him down ( Cherry mimic her :) ) And that creepy ending with group of black cloacked figures "Young Master, here is food you've ordered" It was nice to see Ran getting at least some atetention from her beloved one (Lum helped her too)

I loved when cherry feeds rei, its one of the very few scenes I consider one of my favorites that doesnt involve lum ;D, it makes me laugh so hard its ridiculous! I know its not that funny, but I cant help it!

Movie 1 Only You:
- When Ataru was 6, he stepped on shadow of Elle, alien from Planet Elle, with means he have to marry her, 11 years later, she come for him, but Lum won't give up without fight
Both sweet and sad moviie, i had so much fun watching it, it was almost 2 hours, but time passed quickly, since it is movie, animation is wonderful, especially for 1983, i loved all songs, my favorite were "I, I, love you" and "Lum ballad", and felt sorry for Lum, despite being pushy and forceful, she is always faithful and think of Ataru, i felt sorry for Elle too, despite having over 99.999 lovers preserved in ice, she still is sad, and have fond memories of her short time on Earth. Like ssomeone said, movie include almost every character we meet in series so far, if you watch it without knoledge of series, you will miss half of jokes, like why Kurama wants to help Ataru and Lum.

Ah!, only you already? we are moving fast! I really love everything about UY and movies are of course no exception, the movies can be a little different from the series in a lot of aspects and a lot of fans complain about this, but personally, I love it, every single movie has a beautiful message and a great story to tell, I was going to say this is one of my favorite movies, but I guess all the movie are ::), I found this movie really touching and full of meaning, a master piece in my humble opinion!, but lets be honest, I love lum, I love UY and Im a hopeless romantic, so Im not exactly being objective here... ;)
Im glad you enjoyed it!, and let me tell you Im really enjoying reviving all the series with you!, I have re-watched some of the eps. because of the memories reading you brought back to me, in fact, I really feel like watching only you right now...

- Many years ago, Mysterious Red Mantle kidnapped girl named Yoshiko during prom, now he strikes again, he gained "some" weight since last time.
Very funny episode, it reminded me of my own prom, girls were dressed in similar dresses too :) i laughed when teacher ask Lum to not laugh after hearing his story, and she immediately starts laughing, seeing his face, Red Mantle jumped to scare girls, only to find out, it is Ataru and his friends dress up as girls, and when lights goes off, everyone had to find their partner, Ataru found..Cherry :) And Lum was found Red Mantle (Nice dance moves Lum :) ) Poor guy can't scare anyone at all ;)

- Ran have another devious idea to steal darling from Lum, she even calls Lum to inform her about it, Lum use special gun, to create copy of Ataru (He gave her this idea, because he wants to go to date with Shinobu and Ran at same time, but need two bodies) and send it instead, copy however ties Lum and free Ataru instead, when Ataru and Ran hide, Ran create copy of Ataru herself, what happen next, is pure chaos provided by countless Atarus :)
Once again very funny episode, i laughed so hard, when Lum is like "Another sad story" and just don;t lsten, with annoy Ran, and later, when Shinobu and Ran are chased by swarm of Atarus, both Shinobu and Ran looked very hot in dresses they wore :)

- After Lum hears it is abnormal for couple to not go to single date, she steals Ataru notebook with girls names and phone numbers, telling him she will give it back, if he date her. They go to date, together with Perm (One of Megane friends) and his girlfriend.
Very sweet episode, Lum looked really cute in civilian clothes, and whole date was really sweet, Ataru got used to Lum electric attacks, and is jealous when other guys pester Lum.

- Two seperate beach stories in one episode, 1st one was about watermelon god, ith Ataru and his friends anger, by calling it ugly, 2nd one take place on Mendou boat, everyone get sentimental, as it is last summer day, they are joined by sentimental yokai
Interesting and funny episode, highlights for me were when Mendou wanted to show Lum how you smash watermelon...example being Ataru's head :) (At first i wondered why he is not afraid of dark anymore, but then i've remmebered he is not, when girl look at him, and both Lum and Shinobu looked at him) and when on boat Mendou tried to hit on Miss Sakura, but "that cast-off of life" was lying nex to her, so he throws Cherry at Ataru, who don't want to catch him, and he ends up in water :)

- For Lum and Ten it is first time to see typhoon, and they are very excited about it.
Episode that opens with Cherry struck by lighting, can't be bad :) It was very sweet of Ataru, to save Lum, when she was trapped in Ataru room, poor Ataru dad was this episode buttmonkey, belittled by his wife, and destroy house at the end.

- For Oni, even tiny bit of alcohol will make them drunk, Lum and Ten run around school, causing havoc :)
Drunk Lum was hilarious :) And her being jealous of Ten, because of misunderstanding (Ataru frineds split to look for Lum and Ten, and Ataru and Perm look for Ten) Teacher thought alcohol was brought to school, and Mendou promise to dance naked, if he finds one, unfortunately for him, Cherry brings alcohol, to treat burned students from Ten rampage :) It was nice of Ataru, to get worried for Lum, when she get drunk.

- Misuzu was tricked by her cat Yuki to fuse together, and become cat girl, now Ataru and Ten join forces, to beat down cat, taht felt in oove with her, to free her from curse
That episode was strange, but in positive way, it had elements of Heathcliff (Fat cat being boss of alley) and Ashita No Joe (Boxing scene) i laughed so hard at the end, when all three of them realize who they fall in love with, their hair got grey from shock :) It was also funny when Yuki said, that Misuzu would laugh, if she told her she wanna be human for one day, i think she would freak out first, if cat talk to her :)

Very touching episode, Ataru really care for Lumm, when he cried, and Lum heard it through doll she left with him, it was so sweet :) Episode had funny comedy too with Mendou jumping in front of Ataru suddenly, yelling "Mendou!" and i lost it, when Ataru imagined, that Mendou bribed Lum for leaving Ataru, if he pay for best university for him, those golden teeth :)

- Benten, Oyuki and other Lum friends organize class reunion party for Lum
Misunderstanding episode in UY world :) Lum is angry when no one wants talk to her, and it turns out at the end, it was class reunion party, where literally every major and minor character that appeared in show so far , is attending, except that pink dinosaur, who had crush on Ataru, i loved look on Mendou face, when he find out, what guests will appear at that party :) It was also nice to see that jerk teacher, Onsen-Mark, got trap in 4th dimension :)

- Ataru and friends go to trip near Buddha temple, to have lunch, they find Cherry there during his monk training, Lum, curuious of fossils, end up creating abominable bird like monster with her gun, who chase Cherry, after he stole its food, there also is TV crew, who want to make document about mysterious monk
Very funny episode, loved that "battle" between Cherry and bird, i wonder how many of these real life animal documentaries are phony? :)

- Not wanting to mate with Ataru, Princess Kurama decide to go to sleep again, hoping she will be wake up by someone else, unfortunately for her, it is Ataru again, but..she want to do it with Mendou, elder say rules are rules, but, can't explain why such rule exist
Another funny episode with one of my favorite characters, Kurama :) Mendou and Ataru are really very similar, even Kurama admit that, plus, he is afraid of darkness, so i make him even more pathetic, and that explanation for rule, it was so first elder can reember girl he woke up :)

- Ten got space cavities and bite Ataru, space cavity cause person wanting to bite other people, to ease pain, chaos begin :)
I admit 've skipped some parts of episodes, i hate dentists, and im scared of them, so scenes with drill were painful to watch :) Once again, we see, how slimy Mendou is, when Shinobu and other girls barricade door, so disease wont be spread, he begs her, to at least allow him to go out. And i love, how Ataru make fun of Mr. Orsen, for telling cap about feeling ashamed with bite others, just to ease your own pain.

Very funny episode, Ryoko is really funny character, who is so rich, she is bored, and amuse herself in various ways, like abuse her big brother (He who stands in love way, will be kicked by horse :) ) or travel by oxcard for 9 days :)

- Jariten brings huge cat, who blocks path at stairs, and Ataru can't leave home
Not big fan of this episode, only watche it in fragments, don't like when Jaruten makes fun of Ataru, and gets upper hand, Ataru was really pushed around in this episode, loved when Ataru mom beats up dad, for ordering eel for Cherry :)

- Ataru save crane from trap, and, like in picture book story, he wants to repay favor, well..at least he have good intentions :)
Crane turns out to be raccoon, who is really clumsy, i loved how Ten first show him sweet picture book story of crane, with Ataru, Lum as old couple, and some cameos like rain girl, and then show him picture book of raccoon, with is creepy like hell ;D

Interesting episode, while like i said, im not fan of pushy Lum, i liked her future self as genie, she looked really cute :) And i swear, that Kojiro model was later reused in Yaiba anime, he looked identical :)

Hilarious episode, right from opening..with cat performing Kamen Rider Ichigo pose, after scratching Onsen, bump into beef bowl loving wrestler in cow costume :) I loved how everyone was quiet, and Lum "We are just like real married couple, we can talk with our eyes" And Ten was such brat :)

- Lum father got kicked out of house, for eating too much, an stays at Ataru house
While half episode was little annoying, with how bratty Lum father was, and how Ten kept messing with Ataru and everyone, i loved little Lum and Ran as bridegrooms, and how sorry Ataru dad look at the end, when he tried to stand up to his wife :)

Funny episode, the most hilarious character was Megane, i loved hs facial expressions and speeches, Snow Queen turned out to be Lum, im sure didn't even need to ask judges to become one, she looked very cute in that outfit :) It was sweet of her, to help Ataru at end, to win against that jerk :)

Anotother hilarious episode, the amount of stuff they borrowed: ET, Darth Vader, Zorro, Bruce Lee Game of Death plot...i also loved different meanings of masked ball party, apparently it can be pronounced in way, that means harvest (According to Cherry) and i just love Ryoko, she is such crazy weirdo, and keep making Mendou miserable :) Poor Ataru, he just wanted a kiss, but Lum keeps getting in way

Funny episode, i love how Lum called Mendou talk narcissistic when he felt sorry for her, and that ET parody, Shinobu reaction to Mendou face, and Sakura laugh :) between Ataru and Perm, i heard about that indirect kiss part, in Japan, there is belief, if you for example drink something from same bottle as your girlfriend, it is like you kiss her :) Still, fact that Ataru friends wanted Lum mask...kinky ;D

- We meet new characters, Ryuunosuke, who was raised by her father as boy, because of Ataru and his frineds, they end upo destroy their shop in fight, and move to live in High School
Great episode, Ryuu-chan is such cool character, i hope she will get her dream true, and get to wear sailor suit one day :) I loved when she sent Onsen Mark flying with just one punch, and kept beating up Ataru. "Girls should date boys, as it supposed to be" i wonder if today someone would dare to say that in anime :) Megane "I was so cool, right?" when he said, he only care for Lum, not Ryuu-chan

Ryuunosuke is one of my favorite characters!, after lum of course :hehe, some say ryuu-chan and hes father are the protos of ranma and genma, almost every single series rumiko created after UY takes stuff from it, directly or indirectly

- Ataru is willing to give up something important to Megane, Shinobu believe, that giving up Lum by Ataru, will lead Mendou in Lum arms, so she asks some deliquents, to ask Ataru to change mind, but..did Ataru really meant giving up Lum? :)
Hilarious epiosde, i loved Megane reaction to Ataru proposition, and how he fought with everyone. And his expression at the end :) One of my favorite episodes, once again, we had some borrowings, like Betty Boop picture on Onsen Mark English book, and that Engrish "Good By Ataru"

More serious episode, with Ataru and Lum romance developing, and some hilarious moments, with Sakura beting up Ataru and Cherry, that ending was so sweet, when Ataru was happy, seeing Lum walking out for him, she also got him present :) Ataru is reading "Only You" manga with Elle on cover, she also is on trashcan :)

Episode 91
- Princess Kurama is back looking for bridegroom, she have her eyes on Ryuunosuke, but first, tengu need to turn her to man :)
Great episode with lovely crow princess, Ataru getting hit by sex change ray and everyone reaction was hilarious, especially Mendou, he got literal chicken flu :) But man both tengus and Ryuunosuke father where real jerks here, especially dad :) When tengu talked about, what man should be like, it remind me of Go Princess Precure (2015-2016), where to become true Princess, you need to be Strong, Kind, Beautiful :)

I truly loved this ep. I see it as a pilot for what it would bevone ranma 1/2 also tengus are total idiots, but thats hilarious!

Episode 92
- Ataru and friends go to suspicious Giant Clam Inn
Ok episode, sadly, first part was ruined for me by Ten and had skip it, i sometimes think this series would be better without this brat :) Second part was much better, with cannibal pair, who wasn't warned about Shinobu :) Didn't get ending, why green haired girl run away? Did she regret her cannibalism?

ah yes, we all wish ten wasn't in the series every now and then but I believe the series would not be the same without him or without any other character! mhm I can't quite remember the ending of this ep. I will re- watch and come back to you to discuss ;), glad to see you back!

Episode 93
- Mendou rival, Tobimaro Mizunokouji, appears, to settle score once and for all, in baseball, unfortunately, they both are pathetic in baseball, and Ryoko wants Tobimaro to win, so her ninja team sabotage match :)
Hilarious episode, Ryoko trollish nature was great, with how she imagined Tabimaro traning, and how she set trap at the end, everyone bribed each other...

yes its a great ep, I perfectly remember the fist time I watched this ep, long time ago... the first half wasn't my favorite, I thought it would be a little boring ep. and I even expected this was the first and last appearance of tobimaro, but in the end, I really enjoyed it and tobimaro ended being a pretty funny character to me ;D

Episode 94
- Shinobu find young man in his house, hiding, he turns out to be one of heirs of huge company, he is afraid that his siblings might want to kill him, as he is adopted, and they believe he don't deserve to be part of family, but..is he telling truth?
Another more serious type episode, done in similar tone to crime stories, Shinobu looked really hot in that 1930's outfit at the end :) And that inspector, it is hot, why was he wearing coat all the time? :)

you know you're right, shinobu looked pretty sexy like that, I always thought she was pretty but not really hot, unlike lum ;D I mean man just look at her 8) :o ;)

Episode 95:
- Ataru create movie, and tricks everyone to be part of it.
Hilarious episode, Lum as deliquent girl, and Mendou imagining himself as Clark Gable, i was laughing all way :) Megane made great reference to Eisenstein, he was Soviet movie director whose work helped Soviet propaganda, and sadly, he was pretty good at what he did, he was inspiration for Goebbels :(

- Ataru parents are gone for 3 days, and Lum summons trouble with her cooker, Cherry and Sakura have to step in
Hilarious episode, especially Cherry and Sakura issues, Ataru is such unlucky guy, parents keep badmouthing him, and Lum bully him just because he said her cooking is awful :)

- After Noah lookalike fellow give Ataru, Lum and Megane treasure map, they come to school at midnight to look for treasure, it is at same place Onsen-Mark talked about in ghost story
Funny and creepy episode, i was at school alone at night few times, so i understand Onsen Mark pain, that ending was hilarious..drunken Mendou, and octopuses drawings

I was recently playing Super 3D Noah's Ark on my PC, must be reason why i thought of Noah while i was looking at that fellow :p And yes, im really liking series, didn't warmed to Lum yet, as she have too many episodes where she is meanie, still..im almost halfway through, and look forward to watch necxt episode, that must mean something :)
Episode 98
- Ataru and friends are invidted to hotel on unknown island.
Episode that begins with Godzilla nad Rodan statues, and Lum sticking her tongue at Godzilla, can't be bad :) Cherrry is buttmonkey of series, whenever something is wrong, everyone look at him :) Another crime related episode, with murders happen according to nursery rhyme "Who Killed Cock Robyn" (It was one of parts of English literature i had on my last year in college :) ) Very atmospheric one, with pretty graphic images of "corpses" it was nice of Ataru, to literally destroy bathroom door, worried about Lum. But...that ending..i don't know what to think of it..i actually feel sorry for Ataru, and im glad he still was alright :)

man I can't believe you haven't fallen for lum! I know she has her temper but, come on! she is so sweet ;D well, guess I will have to love her for the two of us ;), this ep. its one of my favorites ,and its one of my few favorites that does not involve romance, I like the atmosphere a lot like you said, and I love the plot and the way they used the song, a remarkable ep. without a doubt, at least in my humble opinion.

It really depends on episode, there are times, where she is truly sweet and caring, even if she electroduce hiim, i really like her there :) But..there are times where she is mean without reason, and sides with Ten...speaking of with...
Episode 99:
- Ten firefighter mom come to visit her son on Earth
Sadly, another episode ruined by that little brat, i watched fragments, and Ten Mama seem like very cool character, and would love to see more of her in future, preferably without Ten sticking around for too much :)
From what i read, next episode will be last of this season, and last time we have Lum Song as intro :( But first..im gonna watch Movie 2 in Blu Ray quality, thanks to folks at Live Evil :)

yes I can relate to your dislike for ten but, I don't know I don't like him very much but I like it too :o I know its weird I just feel the series would not be the same with out him, movie no. 2 its great one! beautiful dreamer its a masterpiece! I hope you enjoy it my friend!

Movie 2: Beautiful Dreamer
- For some reason, everyone keeps repeating same day over and over again, Ataru and others try to find out, what is cause of this
- The whole scene with 3 groups trying to move to different place, and end up running in circles, reminded me of scene used in Madoka Magica Movie 3, i wouldn't be surprised, if it was homage to this :)
- I died from laughter at town being on giant turtle back, that was hold by statue of Cherry and Onsen Mark :)
- I wanna watch that anime version of Godzilla 1954
- Is Perm doing what i think is doing at 59:39? :o
- So...bad guy was that Dream Maker froom previous episodes, i was wondering what happened with him?
- I wonder why he introduce himself to Lum? They met before in series
- One of girls in Ataru harem dream look like Elle :)
- The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya probably payed homage to finale, in tthat movie, we also have dream world, where one of characters give main hero clues to return to reality, if he want to
What a movie..if i had to describe it in one word, it would be..mindf.ck :) It was so crazy with all visuals and plot, at first, i thought that little girl who walked around, was that Rain Girl, but it was Little Lum :) From what i've read, that movie was reason Mamoru Oshii left Urusei Yatsura, as it was not recieved very well by audience, and even Rumiko Takahashi didn't like it for being so different from her original story. As for me, it is difficult to tell with movie i like more, they can't be really compared, they are two completely diferent movies :)
One last thing. Megane have very peculiar idols, first, Soviet propaganda expert, and now he opens Nazi Germany cafe, do you want to tell us something, Megane? :p

I think this movie as I already said, its a masterpiece, I know that rumiko didn't like it a lot and I understand why, but, I just love it, it may be different from what the series is, but I guess thats one of the things that make it so good, I like a lot the way UY can make you laugh or make you think even philosophical subjects!,

Oh yes, it is really good, it is hard to recommend it without spoiling anything, but, let just say, it is deconstruction of magical girls :) I recommend watching episodes 1-12 and then Movie 3 (Movie 1 and 2 are series retellings, with better animation, but missing some scenes)
Episode 100:
- Ataru eat up poison cake, that Ran accidently dropped, Lum look for Ran to save Darling
Oh how much i missed this crazy pink haired gal, i wanna that device at door she has :) Thats Lum at her best too, sweet and caring, loved that moment he called Lum name as he was asleep, good thing she left right after that, as he said every girl name he met, lecherous even while dying :P 2001: Space Odyssey reference during Lum travel through time and space? :) I would answer clock that loses one minute, becasue you can see what time is it, minus that one minute :) Alice in Wonderland, but with golf and ugly fat lady? :) That was sad, seeing Lum crying like this :( Cherry, you had one job :) So, that cake was kinda like Dragon Ball Senzu Bean (One bean filled your stomach for 10 days) Overall, great episode, season should end on great note :)

New opening, while not as great as Lum Song, it was still good, Lum as puppet master with Ataru as puppet, dance for me my minion :)

- Bizarre dream world of Mrs. Moroboshi
This episode...if Beautiful Dreamer was crazy..then i don't know how to call THIS one, first Mrs. Moroboshi dream of Godzilla and Gamera fighting with Moguera, in next dream she join resistance against Martian mechs from The War of the Worlds lead by clones of Cherry (Speaking of Cherry, to bath in left water..where Cherry and Futon Cat bathed...yuck :p )and who was that creppy little girl supposed to be, Mr. Moroboshi as little girl? I..i have nothing more to add :)

I think dancing star its a great song! in fact I still have it in mi ipod (ok, I have all the intros and endings but this is one of my favorites!) oh yes total madness 8) this is why we love this series so much!
I agree this ep. its a little weird but pretty enjoyable, even though eps. were ataru and lum are not principals are not my favs...

Great episode, Ryoko might be my favorite character in show, i love how she keeps messing with Mendou, and Mendou had me laugh so hard with how many times he jumped from tree to slay Ataru :)

- Summer episode, where gang meet Otama, ghost girl, who is so non scary she would put Casper to shame :)
Interesting episode, full of Japanese culture references, sadly, end abruptly. Why gang keep trusting Ataru to choose place for spend holiday? It almost always end up in disaster :p

- Ryuunouske want to know more about her mother, after she saw kids beng scold by their mom
Ryuu-chan father is such an asshole, at the end of day, she still don't know her mother, he literally forgets about her. It was funny to see Cheerry jump out of nowhere, only to be punched by Ryuu :) One of products have Oshii name on cover :) Very cute new eyecatches :)

ryuu-chn father its an hilarious character, he is indeed a total asshole but I love him, it remind me a lot of genma from ranma I believe I read somewhere ryuu and her father were the prototypes for genma and ranma, now that I think about it, she reminds me akane from the same series.

Episode 105:
- Two parter summer episode, first part is about Ataru, Mendou and Ten making Sakura clones, and second part is about going to date...with dolphin :)
Nice episodes, while im still not fan of Lum being yandere-like on Ataru, i still like episodes, i loved al. that madness at end of first part, second part washilarious, while at first i felt sorry for poor dolphin (It is another time, where we have sad talking animal)ending made me laugh so hard, "The hell with being man, i will be a women" :) And of course, Mendou being as hyporitical as always. I almost felt from chair, where i read "Mighty Morphin' earring" But then i remembered, that show was subbed in early 2000's, almost no one heard about Tokusatsu shows back then, with is why they translated henshin (Transform) as Mighty Morphin.

I love yandere lum! its part of her charm maybe she take it too far sometimes but cmon, you know ataru deserves it most of the times ;D
this is a very funny ep. it shows how ataru really cares for lum and that he love her, and man how I wish I could do that with the sand... ;D

- Fed up with Ataru, Ten challenge him to ultimate duel
At first i thought i won't like it, not being fan of Ten, but..i really liked it, felt sorry for poor guy, and ending had me laugh so hard...Cherry was useful, and Onsen Mark was a jerk :)

Im not a big fan of ten as you surely know by now, but give him a chance ;) sometimes he really gives the episodes a touch of madness or fun, he can be pretty annoying though...

- Ataru and his friends go to Mendou summer house in mountains, and are attacked by Tororo potatoes!
Very bizarre episode, seem like mix between cheesy horror movie )Attack of Killer Tomatoes) and Evil Dead (Evil only active at night) It seems everyone died at the end...at least this time, it was Mendou's fault :) (And he is also afraid of too much speed :) )

- CAO-2, teacher of Lum and her friends, come to Earth to punish them, for what they did to him, when they were kids
Hilarious episode, nice to see Benten and Oyuki after such long time, Oyuki was very smart, not getting involved, feel kinda sorry for CAO-2, i wouldn't want to be teacher of kid Benten and Lum :) Onsen Mark was once again a jerk, it was sweet of Lum, to save Ataru :) Overall, great episode, but..animation was little wonky.

- Ataru and friends go into past, to cure Mendou phobia
Hilarious episode, little Mendou was such a brat, and you always answer Ryoko, when she ask you a question :) Lum and girls look hot in guards outfit, and Shinobu looked cute in that dress she imagined herself before rescuing Mendou, at least we know whose fault it was, that Mendou developed claustophobia :) Not sure who Mendou refers to in Japanese, but in subs, he called Ataru lowly quisling, i wonder if he meant Vidkun Quilsing, Norway traitor, who served Hitler and created Germany serving government there.

- Cherry bring Matsutake mushrooms to Ataru class, but..after everyone eats tchem, they start act weird, were they really Matsutake?
Hilarious episode, i loved everyone's antics (Especially Ataru :) ) , and when Lum tricked Mendou that she will put Matsutake into his mouth..only for Cherry to do it :) Otama, of all people, also joined fun

Did Ataru tried to kiss Lum at the end, and was sad, because protectinon suit blocked him? :)

- Tomobiki school held contest for No.1 girl, who will win? Main judge is Ataru (It should be principal, but he wanted to avod responsibility :) ) To make matter worse, deliquent girls from high schools also join in fight, supporting 5 girls
Hilarious episode, during elections contestants nearly always fight dirty :) And every girl rcieved support from differnet groups, Ran for example from group of...pedophiles :) Seriously...Why there is group of pedophiles in school? :p And that ending..this has to be the luckiest/happiest day for Ataru..that sly fox :)
For me personally, the prettiest girl, is Chiyoko Nakamine, who backed up Lum, in fact, i like her so much, she will be my new avatar, sorry Shinobu :)

- Ataru get poisoned by Cherry food, and his earthly desires take form of ghost that fly around, bothering Sakura and Shinobu.
Sadly, didn't like this episode, everyone was awfuly mean to Ataru, including Lum.

While it is mostly recap episode, scenes with Ryoko tormenting everyone, and Mendou tormenting Cherry, make up for it :)

I love UY, but I had always hated recap eps. >:(, I tolerate them when I really like the series, like in this case ::), but damn they are annoying! definitely this ep. its not on my top.

- Space Snowman arrives, and Ten wants to fry it, for landing on him, Ataru saves him, and snowman wants to repay Ataru
Very sweet episode, Ataru and Snowman were so cute, while Ten was asshole as usual, at least Lum punished him, what happened to Ten in today episode? his head looked very big. And i laughed so hard, when Ataru thought it was Mendou who grabbed his butt :)

- Cherry tells hsis own version of Peach Boy story
Sadly, not big fan of this episode, Ten was main character, and he was annoying brat there :)

- Ryuu-chan agree to date with Shinobu, so that boss leader will leave her alone, she can do it, it is for bra :)
It was painful to watch, Ryuu is really great character, and her father is still a jerk :) While date with Shinobu was awesome, that ending was so sad...seriously, it wasn't even funny
Other part i didn't like, was Lum, im sorry, i know you like her, but..i just dislike characters like her, bossy and pushy, and have way of control other person :(

I love the way ataru its against girls dating! I don't have anything against that, don't get me wrong!, its just that back then, it was still very taboo, I enjoyed a lot this ep. ;D, about lum, its ok man, I mean, we can't be friends anymore and Im going to have to hunt you down but its ok, ;) nah, jokes apart, I understand what you say, in fact she can be pretty psycho sometimes!, and after all she is just a character, I mean I love lum, but probably I could never be with a woman that possessive!, I could only overlook that kind jealousy for the real lum!, and thats not going to happen, (saddly by the way :'(), but point is I totally understand why you don't like her at all, its a lumlover thing you know man 8), you wouldn't understand ;)

Thank you for understanding, and, like i said, when Lum is caring, i really like her, i only don't like her when she is vindictive, so far, my least favorite character, is Ryuu-chan father, at least Jariten is only a little brat, and can be taken care of with simple hit with pan, Ryuu-chan father however is a jerk, who ruined Ryuu-can live, plus..when they both appear on same time, it reduce Ryuu-chan to "beat daddy" gag
Episode 120
- Three girls from gang steal Benten chain, to proove they are better gangsters than Benten, Lum and Oyuki
It was long time since we see Benten and Oyuki :) While i like two new girls, that Chinese one is so annoying, with her laugh and mock talking, other two are quite funny, and have interesting powers (Shedding skin and play death). It was nice of Lum to get angry when Darling get hurt, that's Lum i like :)

- Ran make copy of Lum, so that she can make Darling hate her, but clone snaps out of control when Ataru apologise, so she make another one..and then another one... :)
Hilarious episode, Lum Stormtroopers believe they have chance now to have one Lum for ever member, so they try stop Ataru from getting to Lum, i liked how hesistant he was, to press button to elimiate clones, ending was hilarious, too bad story won't be continued, with about 100 Lum's :)

man, who the hell wouldn't love having a lum! even if its a clone, I will gladly take 4 or 5! ;D I liked that ep. a lot too, about the other one, its ok, that gang eps. are not my favorite ones, but as you said its nice to see oyuki and benten get involved in the series!, did you knew in the spanish translation they named oyuki just yuki? probably not, not really relevant anyways, just as a little trivia! ;)

- Mendou hires fast food fighters to close noodle shops, so his supermarket won't have any competiton.
Interesting episode, sadly, it couldn't be more wrong, small shops almost never have chance against big corporations, i see this in my place, small shops keep getting closed, as more and more supermarkets appear
And..they could win more easely, if they all just called police on these mooks, if they don't pay or cause ruckus :)
Crepe Mami...was that supposed to be allusion to Creamy Mami? :)
Sigh..Why Lum had to be bad again? That was uncalled for :(

- Mendou invite Ataru to his house, to show him difference between them, they got locked inside safe.
Hilarious episode, i loved all dialogue and gags, showing that Mendou isn't as great as he think he is, ending reminded me ending of Polish film Kanal, where Polish resistance hide from Germans in sewers and split, one pair find exit from sewers, but it is closed by net :(

ah!, yes this is a great ep. this ep. perfectly shows that all the other guys who judge ataru´s behavior area bunch of hypocrites! thats what I like about ataru, he can be a a lustful freak but he has no problem admitting it!, I don't blame him anyways! I wish I had the nerve he has to act like that in real life! ;D

Yet another great episode, child Sakura was so cute, and everyone reaction to her, thinking she is illegitimate child of Sakura (Onsen Mark and Principal even imagined themselves as father and husband :) )

- Someone send Betamax tapes to Ran, with contain her childhood and present memories
Another stock footage episode, with i mostly skipped, i don't like seeing Ran-chan getting tormented ;( Im not sure how popular where VHS/Betamax in early 80's, but that could explain these recap episodes :)

as I told you before im not a big fan of this eps. myself, but I believe I remember this ep. had a good story, I certainly enjoyed this one, I think I remember she send those tapes to herself so she could keep her wish for revenge alive!, poor lum was just little kid when must of that things happened, she didn't knew what she was doing! ;D

- Lum UFO crash, and she lose her memory, Mendou take care of Lum, Ataru demand Mendou to return Lum, and decide to storm his mansion, along with stormtroopers
It was so cute when stormtroopers walked together at the end, they really care for Lum, Ataru too, but my god, i hate Ten so much, i have to skip scenes with that little s.it :)

- Ataru and stormtroopers storm Mendou place
Very fun episode, as expected of season finale, while Ten was still jerk, it didn't make episode less enjoyable (Why he side with Mendou, i thought he think he is same idiot as Ataru?) And Ryoko..i love her, she helped Ataru just to screw over Mendou :) Nice cameo of that abominable bird Ataru and friends created way back, Shinobu and mafia boss, you could also see Elle picture on noodle package :)

ah! I knew it 2 eps. for this history!, I enjoyed this one a lot, as I told you before, basically because ataru shows his true feelings and because he literally had to fight for lum!, I missed elle on the noodles!, as always, I never notice that kind of stuff :o

Episode 130:
- Because Ataru break branch in park during festival, Lum ends up in parallel world, as she try to go back, she meets ends up in different dimensions.
Very bizarre episode, with serious (World where Ataru loses race with Lum, Earth is conquered) hilarious (Gender bender world, female Megane was creepy :) Ryuu "mom" was caring :) Other world where Lum is married with Mendou) and sweet )World with caring Ataru, yet Lum prefer "old" Darling) moments.
Nice cameo of Mami from Creamy Mami and Kamen Riders and Star Wars characters during festival.
BTW, OVA nad rest Movies were just released on Blu Rays, gonna wait a little with Movie 3, before it get ripped :)

ah this ep. made me laugh a lot!, specially female megane!, man that was hilarious! lum expression was priceless! I remember saving that face as a gif! I will look for it!, maybe I still have it somewhere. ;D

- Ryuu-chan breasts wrap got stolen, it cause boys in school to get crazy, especially during rugby game, to make mattters worse, UFO arrives, planning to take over the world
Hilarious episode, everyone was so wild over Ryu0-chan, of course Ataru after being kidnapped by aliens, first had to hit on alien queen (She was quite hottie in flashback, when she wasn't middle aged lady) I laughed so hard at ending, when Ataru said "The only balls we need..are your breasts, Ryuu-chan"
Poor Onsen (Removable obstacle) and poor Shinobu (Her bra..didn't fit for Ryuu-chan :) )

yes, its a great ep. indeed! you know right at the moment Im re-watching and re-reading ranma anime and manga, ryuu definitely reminds of akane, a lot of stuff from ranma took influence from UY, thats why I love that series too!

- Ran goes on date with Rei, afraid he is with her just for food
Very funny episode, as always, loved Ran reactions and behaviour :) I felt sorry for her, poor girl really love that glutton jerk, yet he... :( Wasn't big fan of Lum attacking Ataru out of nowhere, but overall, fun episode..but..that scene with Ataru and little girl, i know it was supposed to be funny, but... :o

sadly yes, the anime ended way before the manga was even finished, lots of stories never got animated, but well, the manga its pretty good!
I know you hate how lum mistreats ataru but I love it ;D, you can't judge her, she is an oni after all!, and ataru mistreats her too so I guess they both deserve it a little.
mhm, I can't remember that scene with ataru and the girl :o,could you refresh my memory? :mrgreen:

- Ataru bring lipstick to school, it was made by Lum, to finally get kissed by Ataru..All hell breaks
Hilarious episode, i laughed so hard when Ataru kissed Mendou and Cherry...except Shinobu and Ryuu-chan, everyone turned into leech, poor girls, to experience first kiss like this....:p

- Mendou wants to destroy Ryoko cherry tree, accoordnfg to legend, it will bring disaster to Mendou family
Very bizarre episode, i felt sorry for poor octopi, they looked so sad without last arm :( And again, i din't liked Lum messing with Ataru at the end, like Mendou people said, he have it hardest :)

Episode 135:
- Benten and Ryuu look for missing cat, and coross path with bike gang, after they stole one of their bikes
Very cool episode, Boss was hilarious, and i loved Benten and Ryuu antics, wouldn't mind spin off series called Red Lighting :)

- Ran accidently kidnap Neptune lemming from Oyuki, and fears her wrath
It could be ok episode, but..it was ruined by out of character Benten, she was rude and agressive through out entire episode, so fifferent from last episode :(

Sad episode, it reminded me of Ghost movie from 1990 with Patrick Swayze :( Onsen was jerk, good thing Ataru and friends tied him quickly :)

- Ataru and friends help Mendou looking for family treasure.
It could be fun episode, Mendou and his grandpa were hilarious, so was communist Megane (Talk about how Mendou is too rich to be allowed to keep treasure, all this Lenin like crap :) ) and ending was great, sadly..half of it was ruined by Lum whining and zapping everyone, im sorry, i know you love her, but i hate her when she is so annoying and bossy :(

:hehe its ok man she is annoying and bossy most of the time!, its ok if you don't like her, I just find it very interesting! most of the people who watch UY likes lum, I mean, I know you're right!, she is bossy, she over reacts, she zapps the hell outta everyone every now and then but boy, I love her! 8) In fact Lum-chan had a little section in the forum regarding this, he basically expose lum is adorable and stuff like that but, he also mentions she is probably way to much trouble and that maybe you will want to re-think if you could really lover her!, not me, I tell you I will gladly take the zapps, the extremely spicy food and all the bad stuff that comes with her gladly any day ;D, its a really funny article, you should read it, but the point being here, Im really surprised you don't fell for lum! :o but I absolutely understand why you didn't, now that I see it this way, you're probably right!, and the crazy ones are us lum-lovers! :o ;)

It's ok, i understand, im sure most of people who love Lum, are like Megane, they adore her, but im 99% sure if they spend one week with her, they would want to run away as fast as possible :)
Episode 139
- Cherry screw up again, and lost cursed gloves, pants and tap shoes.
Hilarious episode, when Ataru started to rub Mendou butt, i lost it, and it was sweet of Ataru, to protect Lum from that blow (And Lum, when you can see he is cursed, you shouldn't keep hugging him, dummy :) ) And Mendou in balerina costume and Russian ballet music... pure perfection

this is another of my favorite eps.! I mean it has it all!, comedy, weird stuff and romance of course, I love the sacrifices lum is willing to do for ataru, she is so lovely ;D, and you know I never thought of that scene that way :o, but I guess you're right! its a little creepy, but ataru its really perverted so I guess its no surprise ;D

- Megane makes another movie, but...class money is not enough and he ask Mendou to sponsor movie, he agrees, but...
Nice episode, for once, Megane manager to gt upper hand and trick everyone, he even took revenge on Ataru for asking Lum to wash his back when they taked on telephone, and i swear that rocket hit Ataru right into butt. It was sweet when Ataru get mad when he heard Lum will break with Ataru and live with Mendou (Althrough they were just reading scenario :) )

Episode 140
- Lum is bite by cow and is afraid she will become werecow

That episode is awesome. I still remember it from the first time I saw it, from the scene Lum is watching a cow behind a fence, to her dream of becoming a cow and giving some of her leg meat to Ataru to eat... strange stuff, that episode is only paired with the one they go to an isolated mansion and they start to die to scare Ataru.
This is where the anime gets incredibly addictive imo

It was a nice ep. its nice to see megane having his way every now and then! ;D, but just a little, he is a psychotic jerk at the end!

- Cherry and tries to purify Sakura want in order to prepare for Drunk Ghost, in mean time, rest of ghosts that were inside wand, roam free
Hilarious episode, loved Mendou reaction to seeing ghosts, and how Ataru got along with them, he was really sleazy here :) Poor Lum all this time beleved he really wanted to help Sakura :)

Episode 143:
- Ataru and Mendou are swallowed by beast created in swimming pool, after Ten lost snacks there, and meet with Adam and Eve :)
I have mixed feelings about ths episode, whle first half was crappy because of Ten annoying antics, second one with Ataru and Mendou was hilarious, i can't forgive creators for making yet another awesome and hilarious ending, only to not continue it next episode :(

- Princess Kurama crows resume searching for perfect husband for their princess, they found Rei, and as you can imagine, Ran is not very happy:)
Hilarious episode with one of my favorite characters, even Lum rudeness didn't ruin it for me :) Poor crows, Rei is such a glutton, but at least, he seem to feel something for Ran, he did save her, instead of food :) One of proposed husband is Gigan from Godzilla movies (He appear for split second)

yes Im pretty sure rei has some feelings for ran, I enjoy kurama eps a loot too!, this particular one with ran and rei its one of my favorite ones (with kurama) ;D, as always, I missed gigan!

-Shapeshifting fox tries to repay Shinobu for saving him from dogs.
Sweet and funny episode, it was cute seeing that fox following Shinobu, and it was hilarious when he changed into Ataru, and later Onsen, he was so nice everyone prefered imposter to real things :) Shapeshifting fox must be pretty popular character in Japan, he also appeared in DR. SLump

well we all knew this day would come, theres no easy way for a UY fan to say this, :( I didn't like this ep. I don't know why, I found it just a little boring, first time kitsune shows up its ok, but that little annoying fox shows up some more times and all those eps. are the ones I could be better without, I don't hate the character, its just I personally find his eps. boring :'(

- Women appears looking for missing child, everyone thinks it's Ryuu
Sweet and sad episode, Cherry was hilarious, and discovery who women was was great :) Ryuu father might be my 2nd least favorite character in this show, right after Ten, what a despicable guy

It would be pretty good episode, but sadly, Lum and Ten antics ruined it for me, im sorry for all Lum fans here, but..i don't like when she is so bossy and controlling, i admit i mostly watch this series for Ataru and other characters, but when Lum is in her bossy mode or Tewn is annoying brat, i just skip scenes with them :)

1st part i skipped, Ten was brat, Lum was annoying, end of story :) 2nd part was funny, i really liked that shark in glasses :)
