Earlier today, I upgraded the forum-software to the latest available version: SMF 2.0.4. After applying this update we did some needed database optimizations and cleaned-up some obsolete code and database-entries. Then I headed over to solve some capacity-problems which occurred on a regularly basis. As I got sick and tired of these 503 error messages I decided to contact my hosting-provider. After several support-calls and fixing thingies in order to regain some speed I decided to make another call for more options.
Just a few minutes ago, I was finished calling my current hosting-provider and I have some excellent news!
As we are running our website on an old and obsolete hosting-platform (with lots of capacity-problems), we are proud to announce we will be migrated to the newest hosting-platform. This means the following: Faster and better performance and, hopefully, no more capacity-problems. The available web-space will be upgraded as well and this gives us the possibilities for new additions for all us lum-a-holics ;)
This major upgrade and migration will be around the 25th of June 2013. Just a few weeks to wait ::)
I hope this new migration will solve all these problems we have experienced the last months...
And a great part of all of this action is the money-department: I managed to get a much lower bill too :mrgreen: . This makes life a lot easier ;D

Thanks! I know I am not as much on the boards as I used to be, but I still have a heart for Lum / Urusei Yatsura. I do have some additions lying around which need to be added to the site. No worries: I'll keep this site up and running as long as possible. Only 3 years to wait before it exists on the Interwebs for 20 Years \(^_^)/
