Hi, recently I have been play Shogun 2: Fall of Samurai which spark an idea to a fanfic about Urusei Yatsura charcters in Boshin War.
I got the ideas, but can anyone give me any ideas since my all fanfics based on open ideas for anyone to make a great plot.
I also create two OOC charcters which they are a major force in my story.
So any ideas?

Ok, my original draft that the story will split into three volumes during the Boshin war filled with Urusei Yatsura and maybe cameo charcter from Kenshin story. I have trouble to fill Ataru and Lum moments in the first volume. I already come up with forgieners came respective from American Civil War as Union Vetern takes side of the Imperial while the Confederate Exile sided with the Shogunate forces.
I got the dramatic and epic battles coming, but I need some ideas to balanced comedy and drama. The romance of Ataru and Lum i based on from novel I read before, "Cold Mountain." I wanted show the events in order like Gods and Generals, Gettysburg, and Last full measure (which it has not made into a film)
Another I have that what roles that the charcters to fit and help my plot going. It just lately my ideas are constanting debating to put in what. The story goes like this:
Act one-
The American civil war ends, that one day a job offering to train the Satsuma army which actual lead by Saigo Takamori.
The Union Vetern arrive along with his friend who been though
That's it so far. I am trying to get volume one in works, but I need help to make my fanfic good and best one I can do. Any ideas are good or what is best for my fanfic.
Also this one will be like PG-13 for war sequences and mild language. Any idea will be shared.

lets see does ataru fanily tell lum that he loves her? if not make one a scene of him telling her that maby it after the war he promiss that he tell her that after the war ends. u can also make one with them getting married. if u want. lets see for comedy.. tell me one thing it is after the war right.?..

The romance idea sounds the best one. But I was also thinking that I should do the comedy elements while they are in boot camp, the times in Kyoto, and camp life. Also I need ideas how the homefront where Ataru's parents,Lum, and Ten are going to do while Ataru is gone for duration of the war. What about other charcters to put what role?

k do one with medou and ataru getting into a fight over lum because medou finds out that ataru kept a pic of lum hidden and it starts to get out of hand so medou takes out his sword and trys to slice ataru up for not showing them the pic of lem or ataru does something stupid which his whole group get mad at him and try to kill him but due to his carouch prower he stills has energy to run away from them and ataru finds himself at the women scetion of the camp a does something. (u think of that one.

Ok, optional one is the best one which option 2 don't have any women in the army except nurses. What about interaction of my Fan made characters will like with the cast?

ya do nurses and fan made characters..lets see... how about they want to learn how ataru got all those phone numbers form different girls and they go out to try it themslefs and fail, but learn to do after a while. so they become ataru clones but they just have his lust.

Um, the setting takes place in 1860s during the Boshin, not in the modern days. I have no intention to create Ataru clones.

no i dont mean like creating ataru clones just make them act like ataru fellow teamates full of lust trying to get nurse's number and where they live. like that.

Actually there is no telephones in 1860s and I am trying trying realistic like Ronin Kenshin style, but humorous of Urusei Yatsura. Have you ever seen Gettysburg or Gods and Generals?

The fan made characters are Americans who were rivals from American Civil war (Union and Confederacy), Dutch translator, British jounralist, and French photographer. The Americans are respective side they are on: Imperial (Union Vetern) and Shogunate (confederate exiled).

k.... then to think of something that would help make it funny, look at some fanfic's for ideas that were i usually get my ideas to make fanfic's.

Ok, I was thinking a parody version of boot camp (like the one from Glory) and I have idea of making Union Vetern has a secret that interconnects with the Confedrate rival. I wanted to make the British jounralist as a butt monkey, French photographer as jerkass, and the Dutch translator as Crouching Moron, Hidden badass. But I want to make the Confedrate exile as a starscream to shogunate forces.

really? It just I have a final exam tomorrow and after I finish it with it, that's when I start doing it. I have been waiting for this. Also I have troubles when writing on later chapters. Besides I already planned this story to be expanded to three volumes or not. I hope this fanfic will be a successful on out of all my fanfics I made. But the forum I made was to help what it can do for my fanfic when I ran out of ideas for the moment.

You're the one who wrote that fanfic? I was interesting about your fanfic. Ok, the next chapter should depend how the characters react in that action followed.

Just brainstorming it. Just take your time. Just go with the flow of the story or try to ended it when you run out of ideas.

nvm i figured out how to put the next chapter on but thanks anyway. the thrid chapter is kidnap u and someone else will know about that.

Ok, but the kidnap options seems to be overrated and so cliche. do something like.......random event that ends our characters in some sort of time travel, dimension that they meet their manga counterparts, James bond plot style, or something.

naw. it about megane kidnaps and trys to kill ataru because he doesnt want him to marry lum..

That idea was used by someone else. Try to think outside the box, do something creative to make it interesting.

Try read my finished works to give you some ideas. I have already started working on chapter 3 and 4. I have an idea of Ryuunsuke and her dad in the plot which I add it as comic relief.
Also the first battle of Boshin occurred in 1868, It was called Battle of Toba-Fushimi
. The battles are going to be bigger than it was in real life by multiple of four. Also I am thinking making Megane into a spy for shogunate forces along with Confederate Exiled.
The battles will be long, but ever engaging how battles were fought. I hope my story will be good.

i seen a movie in history and they had a traning thing where u ran in mud and when the traniner says drop everyone drops. hope this helps.

I see, I could add a parody of full metal jacket and Glory training scenes. But the question is how Ataru will react to that. He is very well known for being stubborn.

I did, but this chapter I finished have one of my OOCs has blackmail Ataru to continue training.
Now, I got the marching training chapter out of the way, I can do the rifle training.

I think my ideas are too far fetched. But I am planning to retire from fanfic after making the Boshin War saga, finished uncompleted works, and start working on my last work.
