Title: Lum for the World, Karaoke, Fumi Hirano, game music etc. to download
Post by: sailorlum on February 19, 2012, 03:32:52 PM
I have the rare “Lum for the World” cd, and thought the group might like for me to share the karaoke songs that came on it (all the other songs can be found on The Complete Music Box). Thanks to this site, I’m only missing a few songs from my UY music collection, after filling in a few gaps from the Complete Music Box and downloading the “Urusei Yatsura Remix” set. Now I just need to get the “Fumi no Lum Song” cd and “Fumi no Lum Song 2” cd (for Fumi’s versions of “Open Invitation”, “Rock the Planet”, “Koi no Moebius”, “Melancholy no Kiseki”, and “Good Luck”) and I think I’ll have pretty much everything I care to have. If anyone has any of those mp3’s, or albums that you can rip/record from, please let me know, btw. (ETA: Got the Fumi no Lum Song cd and the two songs I didn't have from Fumi no Lum Song 2 - find the rest of Fumi's songs here: http://www.lum-chan.com/index.php?topic=2490.msg43481#msg43481)

Hello! I got the Open Invitation instrumental from your channel - thanks for putting those up, by the way! :D (I found the rest on a cached page from mp3skull dot com, which I assumed were ripped from some youtube channel somewhere). Since you have the laserdisc for Karaoke Music Parade, would you be able to provide the missing instrumentals for Remember My Love, Suki~Kirai, Hoshizora Cycling and Yume wa Love Me More, on youtube?

I don't have a Flac version of Urusei Yatsura Forever Best, but I can look into seeing if I can rip to Flac from my cd (I'm not set up for Flac right now, but I can look into seeing about getting the proper codec and program for that).

I don't have the single cd for Begin the Kirei (I just have the mp3 that I downloaded from an anime karaoke site), so all I have is mp3 for that. I'm hoping to get my hands on the actual single, someday, though.

I have the Urusei Yatsura Pachislo itself and yes it's a song that I haven't heard anywhere else. I can't seem to download your song to verify if it's the same one.
it's rare to get the song you have to hit a certain bonus round to get it.

Oh, awesome that you have the UY Pachislo machine! :D If I had the money (and could find one) I'd definitely want one (or the UY2 Pachislo or both, LOL). The UY Pachinko machines look fun, as well (esp. CR UY3 and CR UY Forever Love). UY2 Pachislo and CR UY Forever Love have my favorite songs of the Pachislo/Pachinko machines, so I'd probably want them most of all...but I doubt I'll be able to afford/find either one, LOL. I'll just have to live vicariously through the videos of others and enjoy the music I've found (I've tracked down all the Pachinko and Pachislo music, today...I'll post it at the end).

What happened when you tried to click on the link or used right click and 'save as' on the Be With You mp3 file?

Well, anyway, try this link and see if it works:

http://www.sailorlum.com/lum/Urusei Yatsura - Be With You.mp3 (http://www.sailorlum.com/lum/Urusei Yatsura - Be With You.mp3)

If that didn't work then try downloading it from the root directory here (it's after the Fumi Hirano stuff):

http://www.sailorlum.com/lum/

Here's the youtube video I ripped it from:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_AJy6MfH460&list=PLAAA70A5D37C10DB8&index=50&feature=plpp_video

And here's the site I used to rip it:

http://audio.online-convert.com/convert-to-mp3

Here's the rest of the Pachislo and Pachinko music, in order of game release. Some are ripped from youtube videos, with editing done as necessary, and some I downloaded from nicosound. The UY Pachislo 2 stuff was released on a cd with a bunch of other Pachislo songs, so they have the best quality of the bunch. My favorites are “COSMIC x LOVE” (great, modern yet UY-ish, techno dance number with lovely vocals) from UY Pachislo 2, “Cosmic Love Story” (sung by Stefanie of “Rock the Planet” and “Remember My Love” fame, a rather classic UY sounding song with a modern twist) and “Forever Love” (great guitar riffs and piano combined in an interesting way, with peppy and powerful vocals) from UY Pachinko 4 ~ Forever Love.

Thanks, I was actually able to get it that time and it is the same song.
I have the UY1 Pachislo right now and I have a UY4 Urusei Yatsura Forver Love Pachinko coming
from Japan. It's going to cost me $500 without domestic shipping.
They also have a very rare UY2 Pachinko that I am still deciding on buying as it's quite expensive and rare.
Here is a pic of my UY4 it's being tested before it ships out in Mid March.

The hardest pachinko to get is UY3. I have a huge recyling company looking through dozens of contacts and "no way now how" can you buy a UY3. It is super collectible in Japan.

Great list of songs you have posted there!
As you can tell I'm into Pachinko I only like the UY pachislos. They only made 2 and I have a UY1 Pachislo. My wife doesn't want us to get another UY Pachislo right now because she wants a "Fire Dynamite King" Pachinko. She also wants a Cutey Honey Pachinko  ::)
Nothing like wanting the most rare and expensive pachinko machine out there.

You can probably buy a UY1 or UY2 Pachislo machine for around $400 that would have 500 tokens, volume controls and a key with a US 110V transformer.

Anyway I'll try and D/L some more ofthe songs you've posted.
Thanks again!

Wow, the UY4 machine looks great! :D After watching some more videos of it and seeing the machine here, I think I definitely want that one the most. I like the songs, animation, and machine style best of all, and I like how it includes songs from previous releases. Plus, I've never played a Pachislo before (although it looks fun), but I have played (virtual/video game) Pachinko games, and know that I like Pachinko. If I hadn't just dropped a bunch of coin buying the complete UY TV series on DVD, I'd be talking to husband about us trying to track one down and buying one for my birthday and/or Christmas or something (we're both into pinball and anime, but I'm the only one into pachinko and UY)...maybe when it gets closer to my birthday I'll present the idea.

Thanks for all the info on the UY Pachislo and Pachinko machines, btw! :D Now I know around how much I need to set aside to buy one. Do you know how much shipping is going to be for the UY4 machine yet? And can you tell me who I might be able to contact to try and track one down, someday? I'm thinking Custom Pachinko might be my best bet, but if you have any other recommendations I'm happy to have them.

So the Cutey Honey pachinko is super rare and expensive, huh? Is your wife a huge Cutey Honey fan or is it just that it's a super cool machine (I looked it up on youtube and it does look pretty cool)?

PS: I had the song title wrong for UY3's "Kokoro Leader"...it's actually "Kokoro Radar" (I was reading the "re" symbol as "ri" for some reason on that  one last night, and only caught it this morning - d'oh!). I've updated the file to reflect the title change and I'll change the link to match.

I'm curious as to whether your sources for getting the pachinko machines would also be able to find arcade machines. I'd love to get my hands on a Taiko no Tatsujin arcade at some point in the future.

You're welcome.  :)
There are a few places in the US that sell Pachinko machines and a few more that sell Pachislos.
A Pachislo is a Pachislot meaning it is a skill stop slot machine.
Frank over at CustomPachinko.com is a good guy. I've spoken with him a few times and I bought my UY1 Pachislo from him.
He's a good guy to deal with.
Rita over at Blue Hotaru also has a lot of Pachislo's.
Slot-Pachinko is apparantly opening back up after the death of the owner Curt. his son is taking over the business but they don't have much in the way of anime themed machines
There is a new company starting up and they will mostly be doing custom orders at first.
They do not have a US website yet. They are called Comatsu Trading.

Please keep in mind that if you do not want to actually PLAY pachinko and just want the videos to watch you can buy just the cell minus the frame and they can hook a gadget into it and you can press a button and the machine will active and get fevers and the like.
This is also cheaper but I wouldn't do it myself as it would ruin the game for me. But it will fit on your desk.
Keep in mind a modern pachinko machine can weigh up to 100 lbs. or around 33 Kilos.

A Pachinko machine of yoour favorite anime is a great gift! Tell your husband that.  ;)
My wife is into Pachinko and loves playing and that was before she hit her first fever!
The thing is as a machine gets older it gets harder to find.

If you buy a UY4 Pachinko machine you'll spend around $450 and depending on where you live in the US shipping to you would cost $60 to $100. If you are local to the place selling them you can always pickup the machine and save the shipping.

Urusei Yatsura is VERY popular in Japan but not so much in the US and that usually means a custom order. They only import machines twice a year and that is a long process. My UY4 will hopefully get here in May. Of course I have a lot more machines on order that are not UY.

Frank at CustomPachinko isn't taking any orders until March for a June delivery and Comatsu Trading is already filling their container for a May delivery. The next one after this will be delivered around Christmas.
I don't know what the other companies are planning.

UY4 is just being taken out of the parlors so they should be still available in the next shipment. However keep in mind that these machines are recycled for their components, so very few survive as pachinko machines and the LCD screen will end up in Chinese DVD players.
So they are very tough to get after 2 years which over there is a LONG time.
The Cutey Honey is so hard to get that it's safe to say it's all but impossible. My wife likes it and wants it. I wasn't a big fan of the anime series myself. Im far more interested in this one.
.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkho8zDVZkQ&list=FLC4YT-gvjFs4wGyKfu4sGEw&index=6&feature=plpp_video

But it costs over $1,000!

I have a pending order for a UY3 machine IF they can find one but it's so rare as it's from 2007 so it's be really really expensive.
I could buy an Evangelion 7 for less and those are brand new. (I'm not an Eva fan)
There is a new Maisson Ikkoku Pachinko machine that we will be able to afford in 6 months to a year as well. I think the Ranma 1/2 machine is available now but I'm not sure. It's pretty cool where animatronic teapots will pour virtual water onto the LCD screen and change the reels to different characters.

All the info you could ever want is listed on this site www.pachinkovista.com

You can use google Translate and the best thing is to look up machines via manufacturers. That's the 3rd tab at the top. Okumura makes the UY Pachinko machines and Ginza and Sammy make the UY Pachislos.

Those are good places to start. If you have any other questions i'll do my best to answer them.

@Swizzle
If you have a specific manufacturer and game I can send an email to him and find out but keep in mind pachinko machines are fairly small size. If what you want is bigger, shipping will be crazy expensive.
I'm happy to ask for you tho.

The machines are massive and shipping would be insane, but at some point in the future (once I have my own house and it doesn't look like I'll be moving) I plan on finding one somehow. It's my favorite arcade game. It's developed by Namco though I'm not exactly sure who the manufacturer is and the game is called Taiko no Tatsujin (太鼓の達人) and there are a ton of different ones. The new one that is currently in arcades is 太鼓の達人14 so any of them 7-13 would be cool to find.
There's a list of all of the releases in this wiki article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taiko_no_Tatsujin
Any help would be awesome, but don't worry about it if your sources don't come up with anything.

I bet the shipping on that is going to be at least $2,000USD alone.
That's by container because it takes up the space of 12-18 pachinko machines.
Domestic shipping is likely going to be the same unless you can pick it up at the port.
I have no idea on the price but if you are serious about buying one I will ask him.
Japanese domestic shipping is very expensive and limited with weight as is shipping
out of the country. You would need a container for something that huge.
You might be better off searching Arcades in California because if they alreday have it
you'd save shipping.
Here is a place in the US you can try
http://www.monkeysarcades.com/Arcade_Games_s/1.htm
They might be a better source and you can see how much stuff costs for what they do have.
Basically that machine is similar to a Dance Dance Revolution (same category)

Of course if you are going to be in Osaka I can PM you the address of the company I am dealing with
and they might show you around and all the pachinko machines they have etc.... My wife wants to go there
on our next trip to Asia.
I don't know what part of Japan you are in right now but if you are close enough to Osaka it might be work a look.
They mostly deal with Pachinko/Pachislo's, they recycle and sometimes resell them. They are very connected but
they actually have to spend man hours looking for stuff so when you get serious that's the time to ask.
I will ask if they have access to other types of arcade machines.
Let me know.

I got the Open Invitation instrumental from your channel - thanks for putting those up, by the way! :D (I found the rest on a cached page from mp3skull dot com, which I assumed were ripped from some youtube channel somewhere). Since you have the laserdisc for Karaoke Music Parade, would you be able to provide the missing instrumentals for Remember My Love, Suki~Kirai, Hoshizora Cycling and Yume wa Love Me More, on youtube?
i had it all from nicovideo.jp (but most of them are bad quality).

If i have time to record from LD to PC, then i could do this.

Thanks also for sharing the Pachinko Songs, i have also all songs from Urusei Yatsura Pachinko 4 ~ Forever Love on my Promo DVD in uncompressed format and in more versions (there always in 2).

Ya, the shipping would kill me if I wanted to ship it overseas, but I'm thinking this is something I'd get once I'm a permanent resident in Japan. That would save a bit on shipping cost. xP
I'm also thinking this wouldn't happen for at least 3 or 4 years into the future, but it's never too early to start getting connections I think so that's why I'm trying to start figuring stuff out now.
I'm currently in Tokyo, but I'm going to Osaka next month so it would be cool to check that place out while I'm there.
But I really am serious about getting a Taiko no Tatsujin machine once I've got my own house and the funds to get one.

Wow so you are going to stay permanantly in Japan? Cool!
Make sure you have enough room in your apartment for one of these machines.
Japanese apartments are quite small if memory serves me.
Send me a PM and I'll send you the details about the company. I don't want to post that info publically.
The guy I am dealing with speaks perfect English. but keep in mind they are a recycler for Pachinko machines.
They likely won't have arcade machines in stock.
We might visit next year if we are able to.

How are you able to stay in Japan? That's usually not very easy to do over there in you aren't Japanese.

Ya, right now the plan is to return the US in August for my last year at University and then after graduation I plan on living in Japan. I'll most likely get a job with a Japanese company to sponsor my Visa until I can get a permanent residency and then just make a living in Japan.
I'll send you a PM in a little bit. Sorry for the slow reply x.x
I've been quite busy lately.

That's ok, glad you are really doing well over there.
I wasn't aware of a big job market for gaijin over there.
The guy I am dealing with is now in the US setting up
their US arm of the business and I haven't heard from him in a while.
He'll be back in Osaka in a week or so.
I'll provide you with all the contact info.

What kind of a job would you be trying for over there?

@REDACTED

Thanks for all the great info! (Please pardon the slow reply, real life got crazy). I'll certainly keep all that in mind for the future. I have one place in my house that a Pachinko machine might fit, and it would be cool to have the whole machine so I could play, but I might have to settle for tracking down a cell instead (I know I could find a spot for the cell). How much does just a cell cost, do you know?

The Nangoku Sodachi pachinko looks cute!

The Ranma and Maison Ikkoku pachinkos are pretty cool, too.

Reports are the Ranma 1/2 machine is boring and it generally gets poor reviews.
I have heard good things about the older Maison Ikkoku and there is a new one that is too new to know much about it yet.
Cells can range from very reasonable to very expensoive depending on what you want.
A Julie or a Cutey Honey Cell would be impossible to find and cost at least $1,000US minimum and you won't find one.
Newer stuff like 2009 up to some 2010 will be fairly reasonable.
Prices vary too much to even think of a quote off the top of my head. If you just get the cell you will need the box that allows you to play just the cell with no balls. These are almost impossible to resell in the US because pachinko collecters don't want them.
They are super popular in Japan for putting on a desk.
My UY4 Forever Love cost me $500 and that doesn't include domestic shipping.
However if you want a UY3 only the crappy ST model is available and it's like $650. Older machines can cost a lot more. A UY2 I have first option on and it's the good cell and that could run as high as $650.
You generally want a machine that is 2-3 years old at most. If it's too new it's crazy expensive and if it's too old say 4 or more years they will be very hard to find and cost a lot more.
I want a Minisuka Police 2 but it will cost me $650 as it's a 2008 model. Different cells are very different as well.
The Minisua Police 2 has 2 cells a 2KS and a 2KH and there are 2 graphics variants on the 2KH cell and I really want the 2KS cell. Also the frames come in yellow and white. Some frames have many different colors.

When you get closer to buying let me know and I can send you the contact details of the sellers that import. One has finalized their shipment for May and the other only does 2 shipments a years and he is closing the container at the end of this month.

So after March figure the next shipment will be around Christmas that you can pre-order a machine or cell you want.
You can also buy cells on Yahoo Japan. That's Japans version of ebay but you need someone to bid for you and due to weight restrictions you can only buy cells. A $20 cell there will end up costing over $300 with shipping domestically there and international shipping.

Bummer about the Ranma machine having such poor reviews. It looks cool. Oh, well.

So, if the shipping is $300 for just a cell, is it more like over $500 for the whole machine? Yikes.

If I can get a pachinko machine or cell, I'll only have room for one, so it shall be a UY pachinko machine or cell. I'd be looking for a UY4 Forever Love machine or cell, if I can swing it in terms of space (in the case of the machine) and cost (in the case of either). I'll definitely get in touch with you for the contact details of the sellers that import, when/if I get closer to buying! :D Thanks!

I hve several people I buy from depending on price. The UY4 I am buying is costing me $500 for a complete machine, Cell and Frame, but that doesn't include domestic shipping.
Since I am buying 3-4 machines anyway, I'm driving down to pick them up.
The other guy Frank might be a better bet, hard to say because of the shipping.
Also keep in mind these only come with 500 balls. That is enough to play the machine.... barely.
if you hit a Fever which happens a lot woth some machines you will be crying for more balls. Some people convert these to a cyclic which is ok but you will never be able to sell it because converting it back is almost impossible. But the good thing is 500 balls is more than enough.
A cyclic takes your winning and losing balls and puts them in the same tray. It might sound good but you lose the feel of real Pachinko.
Modern pachinkos need a lot of balls. If you just get the cell with a mod to play it to see the videos you won't need any balls or anything but as I said before no Pachinko player will buy it.
We buy the machines to play pachinko not just watch the videos. Cells can be sold if they can just be put in a frame, but no frame makes it tougher to sell with some companies and that's an Okumura Cell & frame.
it's not like the older Lumina frames where you could put 20 different cells in the one frame.

Shipping is expensive if you use Yahoo Japan. If you use Comatsu they might bring over just a cell for you.
They'd have to mod the cell to play and they'd have to still put in volume controls and a US transformer.
On a regular machine this is no big deal, they do this. I don't know with just a cell.
If you don't have volume controls you can expect that it will be at ear bleeding levels like in the parlors.
These machines are not all that big and weigh about 80 lbs. 34" high x 23" wide x 12" deep approximately.
Here is a pic of my UY4 Cell outside of the machine.

Most of the art can be found by clicking on the red tab at the top and then clicking on the links in the left side column that have the circle symbol or the triangle symbol in them. For the first four links pages, click on the stars, circles or squares, in the body of the page. For the fifth link, after clicking on it, click on middle link with the circle in the left side column and then click on the squares, in the body of the page. For the sixth link with the triangles, click on the first two links in the left side column or under the picture in the body of the page, and then there will be various links in the right side column of those pages to click.

The purple tab at the far right at the very top leads to a pretty color picture of Lum.

The green tab at the top leads some more art, sometimes. Click on the links in the left hand column. Not all of them contain art, but many of them do.

The orange tab at the top also leads to some art, sometimes. Click on the stars and sometimes there will be art with the text.

Hm, I think if I'm going to invest in UY4 I'd want the complete machine so I could play, since it will definitely fit in the place I had in mind, and esp. if the cell is over a hundred dollars when shipping is factored in (plus it would be nice to have the option to resell, although I doubt I ever would). I was thinking it would still be cool to have the cell as a kind of interactive art piece, but it would be better to have the whole machine so I could play the game. That would definitely be more fun. I do like pachinko (at least I've enjoyed the video game pachinko...I'd probably enjoy a real machine even more). I figure I can always order pachinko balls from Frank or Blue Hotaru, if I need more than 500 balls, so I'm not too worried about that.

Price will be the only thing that will keep me from getting a UY4 machine for Christmas, this year. I'll have to look into the budget and see. I'll probably know by May if there will be money in the budget available for possible UY4 purchase.

Sure thing, happy to help. These just need a stand to place them on and you can base that on the height of the chair you will use.
By Christmas we will have 9-11 machines in our Den.
If you have a full machine you will have a lot more to enjoy. These are really fun to play.
As far as Rita over at Blue Hotaru she's expensive and lately she's gone quiet and rarely answers her emails.

If you want pachinko balls, the best place you can get them is from GoldenStateTraders1 on eBay. I've bought from him in the past. He's really good about
prices and shipping. He sends them out very quickly. How competitive Comatsu will be we will have to see, because this is their first shipment
and they won't have any spare balls.

http://stores.ebay.com/TradersSpace

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1000-Real-Pachinko-Balls-Imported-From-Japan-/290681659781?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43adfa2185

Also keep in mind I will be posting video from the UY4 and if I can find a UY3 that isn't an ST I will probably buy that as well.
I have to be careful because these machines add up very quickly and I still want a "Raised in Southern Okinawa" "Okinawa version"
and a Fire Dynamite King in a  D-Burning Frame. Sadly these will take 6 months to a year to come down in price.
here is a vid of Fire Dynamite King. Lots of Animatronics.
My wife and I really want this pachinko but it's at least a 6 month wait for one and even then it'll be $500+

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mUi_bgCH0u8&list=FLC4YT-gvjFs4wGyKfu4sGEw&index=15&feature=plpp_video

Pachinko machines tend to multiply.
If you have any questions feel free to ask.
Also if you want just a lot of info on Pachinko/Pachislo's you can go to this great website.
www.pachitalk.com

Only 1 or 2 UY fans there but it's a great site, very friendly.

Thanks for the additional info, tips, and measurements and the picture of the cell outside of the machine. :)

Sorry you need to put the entire webpage into Google translate. Just copy and paste the URL at the top into Google Traslate and select Japanese to English.
Here is an example for you.
Massive Japanese only site then translated.

http://www.pachinkovista.com/

Now after copying and pasting the URL into Google translate Japanese to English

http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.pachinkovista.com%2F

Just remember to click the link inside the translated box.
I am on Japanese websites all the time 4-5 times a day, believe me this works well.

I would LOVE to find something that would translate Japanese graphics into words. But nothing like that exists that I know of.
If it's a pic with words you either manually type them all in or just look at the picture.
This also make translating navigation icons a pain as well.

Sometimes Google is all that you have if you want to navigate a website. It's not going to be a great translation but it can help out far better than guessing what to click on.
It's not going to translate comics. The OP wanted to know how to find pics on a website. Google Translate will help with that.

5. Rock the Planet

Nice Sailorlum! How do you even get music from a Pachislo anyways?

Thanks! :) They released a soundtrack for this particular UY Pachislo, and someone posted a few of the songs on youtube, so I downloaded the videos and converted them to mp3. (Eventually I'll get the cd and have all the songs).

For pachislo without a soundtrack release of the song, I get the mp3s from youtube videos people have made of unlocking the song in their homes.
