Title: My Urusei Yatsura Collection (Pic Heavy)
Post by: tomorrowist on September 24, 2011, 08:21:00 PM
I'm not sure if this is the right place, or even if these deserve a thread to themselves. If not, I'm sorry, I wanted to put up my collection of Lum stuff, which comes from why I love Lum so much.

This collection is about 15 years of stuff (not including videos). I like to the think it's the biggest collection in the southern hemishpere. But that's probably not saying much. I'm sorry for the shadows and any unclear images. Scanner isn't working.

This is all I could find. I hope you enjoy:

Smaller figurines on my shelf.

One outside the box, the platform rotates if the light hits it.

2 lighters (one used), a keychain and a pencil box.

2 of the larger figurines on my shelf.

The other 2 larger figurines on my shelf. I had to take them this way as it was difficult to get them out of the box I had put them in.

A bag, a CD and a memo pad.

2 coffee cups and 3 soft toys (released as part of a 7/11 30th anniversary deal, I have 3 of the Lum chan ones).

The best coffee cup I have, out of the box. I don't use it, but the my wife uses the Cherry one.

The watch I have. I replaced the band and wear it on special occasions.

The towel I have, 3 were released, this is the only one I have.

The badges.

The keychains, in "chibi" form, the first one is common, the other 3 were harder to get.

The first animation cell I have, Ataru from the 1st movie.

Minor characters from when the cast went to Nara.

Cherry "For medicinal purposes only!"

Shinobu.

Ataru's Mum. Did she ever have a name?

Ataru, this was up on my wall for a long time.

Mendo, from one of the later seasons.

One of my most prized cells, Lum drinking out of a sake box. We had these at our wedding. All the guests got to take one home as a gift.

Another Lum cell, this time with the drawing, I think it's from the 6th movie.

Truely Awesome! Where did you get the figure that turns when the light hits it?

I want one of the pachinko machines but so far nothing and our state might consider it gambling so
I'm trying to find out about getting one that can't be used for gambling.

It's just a solar powered platform. I got it in Japan.  It doesn't work so well though as it's kind of old.

A lot of this stuff, mainly the cells, comes from a place called "Nakano Broadway" a shopping centre famous for anime goods in Tokyo.

Impressive collection you got there. I don't think seeing the collection in pictures can compare seeing it with your own eyes. If I ever visited Akihabara I know I wouldn't be able to resist and would need to pack some serious dough, if I ever order something online it would have to be a nendroid.

There's not that much stuff available in the US, sadly.
I had to get rid of all my UY stuff when I moved overseas as my sister was only willing to store 2 boxes of files.
