Title: [DENIED] view counter
Post by: Urusei0Yatsura on December 25, 2009, 12:45:13 AM
A view counter that is always present that shows the number of individual IP addresses that have accessed the site.

Nope, will not display the IP-addresses of any visitor to this forum to others. It's a kind of privacy and I think only Mods & Admins should be able to see/check a poster's IP-address when needed.

There is already a counter on the mainpage. It checks for every pageview at the mainpage. If I should try to add a counter which checks for unique visitors, that would be an extra load on the DB and would be a lot of work to implement this.

Don't know the worth of it for any visitor to show how many unique vistors the site had. I check from time to time the logs-statistics in my Control-panel of the hosting provider, but actually I don't care about this  ;)

I didn't mean the actual IP numbers, I meant the number of people who have viewed the site not including when people visit more than once.

Ah, unique visits.... Let's see if I can get info on this. I know the hosting statistics show stats on unique pageviews. Lemme check on this....
