I did the screen-capture and initial clean-up of the image, took that to a local sign shop to have it cut in vinyl (the only thing I can't do -- oh how I wish I had a vinyl [plotter] decal cutter!), and then applied it to the truck myself.
Here's a bit of trivia: I used the logo from the opening of the new OVA, and discovered a MISTAKE in it! Just in the うる星やつら logo. See if you can spot their error!

Oh. And, I'm not rich. At all. I work as an inspector in a small manufacturing&machining shop. I bring home about $24,000 a year.

WOW!!! Great catch on the truck logo, SDM! I just went out and checked -- there IS a cut-line for the center of the loop in the "ru"; should have been weeded out by the sign shop. I'll get it tomorrow or Wednesday and it'll be right. The star is a little off; a necessity of the way I had the logo cut. I'll live with that.

I had printed it out and handed them that; they re-scanned it and performed whatever clean-up they needed.

As may be expected, "DARLING" was already taken for a custom plate, so I went with the second-most-recognizable catchword from Lum.

I could (the sign shop has the design in their computer now), but there are peculiarities to the way I had it cut that may not work in your application.
There are sign shops everywhere, and they can take almost any image and transfer it to vinyl for application on almost anything you can think of (the technology is astounding). All it takes is money. Check locally.

I like the newer design too, but I still like the older design better. That's just me though =P
If by some chance I get into racing as a profession, I would definately make my ride an itasha... or an itansha if I was racing bikes (which seems more likely) ;D

That's awesome. Do you know how I could get a custom phone case made? It would be cool to have a black case with a red NERV logo on it. Other than anime it would be cool to have an asexual/bisexual banner case and keyring. I haven't been able to find one online.
