This... is a little disbelieving... I recently checked my email for my youtube account that uploaded season 3 of Urusei Yatsura and I don't quite know what to make of this... I'll let you read it:

So basically... I would be getting paid... for uploading a copyrighted anime? It can't be true...

Funny you mention that. A few weeks ago, the same thing happened to a famous YouTube poop artist (if you know what YouTube poop is, you KNOW that's not supposed to happen)

What I think it comes down to is, once you get enough views (the video had 27, 000+ which is likely more than any of my other videos) they send you this email automatically.

And what ur getting paid for isn't the video itself, but the advertisement they put up because ur video is so popular.

I'm not gonna accept it. Since the video isn't really mine I can't exactly get paid for it.

Sure... maybe I can get away with it for some period of time... but eventually they would find out and by that time I'll be in too deep.

It's better just to try and make my own video to get it 27k views.

Hmm strange, a while back I saw a video from someone made complaining that he wasn't approved for the youtube partnership program despite posting a lot original content on youtube and having a lot of views
