Title: Hare Hare Yukai Dance
Post by: UruseiNeo on March 01, 2009, 08:41:33 PM: Okay, so at my college, I'm in the "Anime Club" and while I forgot how this started, my teacher decided that we should do a couple of things for the school's big Open House thing. These two things were:

1. Having the Japanese students (as in the students LEARNING Japanese) sing the song "Together" by Monkey Majik

2. Dance the Hare Hare Yukai Dance.

I did the dance, and the guy filming it uploaded it to youtube IMMEDIATELY.

You should know enough about the Japanese language by now to understand why they're counted by syllable rather than word. Haiku is the most structured form of poetry there is, the only thing that comes close is limerick, so I always had a bit of a thing for it (comparatively, my other favorite form of poetry to write is concrete, which is probably one of the most freeform types of poetry there is, all you have to do is make sure the words fit into a particular shape, fun stuff).
