Title: what about episode 61 ? ataru and lum's first date

i think that episode 61 was the best episode! they didn't kiss but i loved that part in which ataru couldn't get in the mood for girl-hunting because he was thinking about lum  :icon_mrgreen:

it is one of my favourite, in fact my first amv used alot from that episode but it is not the best, there have been alot of episode where we see Lum's effect on Ataru

It is a great episode.
Lum looked so cute in normal girl clothes (or maybe I'm too used to her bikini :P).

It's a shame they didn't kiss though, I think if Lum had done it in the end it would be a nice touch.
And Perm with a date? Who knew. xD

Has anyone noticed how Perm seems to be the less dedicated of the stormtroopers? He really seems to be the only one who understands that Lum and Ataru are right for each other.

yes I have noticed that too, otherwise he wouldn't have a date to begin with

This is certainly up there in my favorite episodes, mostly because of the ending.  Way too often episodes where the two come a little closer end on some overly slapstick note, but this one ended with an actual effect on Ataru.  He's not in the mood to go on another date right then, and he's actaully sad that Lum decided not to come home with him.  And then he discovers that she's not far away at all, which was a cute touch that satisfied the need for some final bit of comedy. 

The rest of the episode is a lot of fun as well.  Seeing Perm on his own, Ataru failing at both roller skating and diving, Lum and the other girl's food marathon, all very good moments.

tru like whenever Lum crys or ataru thinks shes crying. that really makes him freeze up lol
