Been playing too many games to have time to watch anime. :S

Besides, my internet is still a b@#$%, so I can't download any of the ones I want to watch. >.<

I'm considering watching UY though, since I realised I never watched all the episodes.

Hmm... "Been playing too many games to have time to watch anime."?

Could it be that you are becoming a Hikikomori??? XD

Its not like it takes too long... its just 25min... so you still have time to play your "games"

There arn't so much anime on air on TV in Italy, and not only because is summertime: if you don't pay the fee to the Murdock's paytv you cannot see nothing of some quality.

In any case there is a loca TV ("THAT" local TV, the one of the topic "AAAAARGH") that is playing

- Ranma (at 20)
- Inuyasha (at 20:30)

The last time that Uruseiyatsura was on air in Italy was on 2005 !!!!

In any case I watch it on youtube, togheter with Inukami.

Last days, I've to hurry: Mary Victory is coming soon  ;D  ;D  ;D

I think I'm really bad: I'm not able to care the "modern" anime.

I've watched all (really: <<ALL>> !!!) the anime from 1978 to 1988 (I miss so much Gundam, the tales made by the great Go Nagai, the saga of Star Blazer, the mythos of Takaya Todoroki and, last but not the least, Lupin III) and (with few exceptions) I've to say that the quality of the tales and the design was so much better than now !!!

Personally I'd save only Inuyasha and Inukami (the second just because it's a mix between the first and Uruseiyatsura) and ,with a great effort, "Sailor Moon", then I'd throw on the flames rubbish as yu-ghi-oh.

Incredible but true, I think that right now the "Winx" (the only italian anime famous all over the world) are really a good cartoon that doesn't have nothing to envy to the ones coming from Japain.

Well "modern" anime is more comercial than the "old" anime... and the fact that they started to export anime to USA, Europe and Rest of the World... they had to adapt many series to those "markets"... for example, Star Blazers that was originaly (and still is called) Space Battleship Yamato was edited to be able to air in USA and other english speaking countries.

Btw, if anyone wants to watch "old school" anime here is a good one... Lupin III (http://www.narutowire.com/watch/3063e419773b4f310fc2/Lupin-III-1)

PS- I hate Winx... mostly because my  younger sister watches it... and she have her room full with Winx merchendise and clothes... The only way I would like Winx was if I changed in to a girl between the ages of 6 to 13... XD And even then I don't know if I would watch it... = P

Okay, anime I'm watching now:

Death note
van guard
Batman Gotham Nights
Hitman! (I forgot the name...)
FlCl

That all I got for the moment. :9

most of these are the ones that I've seen recently so here it goes

Steel angel karumi (C)(R)(A)(E-)
Azumanga diaoh (C)
Kamisama Kazoku (C)(R)
To Love Ru

Steel angel Karumi is good, although extending it to 30 mins for each episode would of made it better. In case anyone wants to watch this I wouldn't recomend seeing the continuation and the spinoff, which are "SA karumi 2" and "SA karumi zero" because they are total disapointment :'(
as for don't To Love Ru, I think that it is really that good but I just watch when there's nothing else to watch :&

Oh, for me is so different: I've to like Winx because, in this way, I'll finally be able to see them with my incoming daughter :-D

I think that, when she'll be about 3-4 years old, I'll finally be able to see some famous cartoons as SHREK, NEMO and THE FROZEN ERA: in fact, right now, BECAUSE OF MY WIFE, it's impossible to see them into our house.

The only exception made by her is for LAMU': every time she see one of her anime she's just able to say "how much she was beautiful" !!!

I too am trying to keep up with To Love Ru

In addition, I just finished watching the unreasonably short 14 episode "SOS Brigade" AKA (the actual name is...) The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. And I enjoyed every minute of it ^_^ (With the exception of the 2 minute long scene in the last episode that was only one of the characters flipping through a book. 2 minutes... not a hyperbole)

Ummm... does RedVsBlue Reconstruction count as an anime XD

I still have to watch the 5th movie of UY... I'm saving it ^_^

I am watching Death Note, Bleach, Naruto, and Zatch Bell by TV schedule.

As said by many: "Haruhi needs a second season!" and it really does, cause the last episode was slow but knowing that the episodes were aired out of order kinda explains it. :-\

I keep hearing some places about a second season and other places say there is no second season... I'm so confused T_T

I'm leaning more to the idea and probable fact that there is no second season. In my opinion I think those last few minutes of the episode just BARELY made up for Yuki's book meet.

One thing I'm still confused about... what happened to the talking cat in episode 00? We never met it and they had the episode that aired the movie from episode 00 already T_T
Title: Re: Anime...
Post by: janus on June 25, 2008, 08:07:48 AM
talking cat was funny though ;D
well about the second season, there is less and less chance to get ourselves a new season since two years have come by when it's usually one at the most. The only way to see the continuation now is through the manga  :'(

I plan to read the Manga. I read the first chapter so far.

In the mean time, I got bored so I'm trying to start a forum over at fanfiction for Anime

http://www.fanfiction.net/forum/Anime_Info/48034/

Hopefully I can make a useful forum and YES I know UY isn't on there, I'm getting to that one
I have a few friends I wanna try getting onto this forum and based on how often I bug em about UY, they'd be less likely to help if they saw UY as the first and only one thus far. So I wanna get a few up or perhaps someone else could do it for me ^_^

If you watched SOS Brigade, then you might like this:

Now that I have a "real" internet connection (cable modem), I can finally watch videos online. Yaaay! ;D

Your positive reviews of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya lead me to try it. Great series! Hooked! Good English-language dub. Like the theme songs. And, does anyone know if Haruhi's seiyuu, Aya Hirano, is related to Lum's seiyuu Fumi Hirano?

Other links (browsing through Amazon.com, looking at figuines of Inukami) lead to discovering Ikki Tousen. Oh!My!Ghod! I'm almost afraid to post this! Ecchi with a capital-E! But, funny and light, seems to be making fun of its own ecchi-ness. Amusing. Still, I probably won't watch any more of it; I saw enough to answer any questions I may've had ....

That's all for now.
Title: Re: Anime...
Post by: UruseiNeo on December 20, 2008, 06:12:58 PM
f***ing hell! I knew "Hirano" sounded familiar, but I also knew "Aya" wasn't familiar. I can't believe it took me song long to realize this -_-'''

But are you sure they're related? I used to think Rumiko Takahashi and Kazuki Takahashi (Yu-gi-oh creater) were related.
Title: Re: Anime...
Post by: veehive on December 20, 2008, 07:45:52 PM
I'm not sure they're related, that's why I posted that in question form. Please review my previous post. Thanks!

There's been no mention of family-link between them in either one's biographical data (that I've seen)(but I'm still new to anime so I haven't "seen" much 8)).

A quick browse of the list by-given-name at Anime News Network shows 15 Hirano's involved in Japanese Animation. So, it's not like it's a rare given name.

Oh well. Just a curiosity.  :*)

Title: Re: Anime...

First time I saw ANYTHING for Naruto, it was during a commercial (when it was first going on TV here) and Naruto was wearing that clownish make up.

What the hell were the advertisers thinking? That DID NOT make me watch it. I can't even remember why I started watching it, but it sure wasn't because of that ad.
Title: Re: Anime...
Post by: sidzero on December 22, 2008, 11:56:14 AM
Well the first time I watched Naruto I didn't like it. A couple years later, I got hooked and loved it.

That sounds like my reaction to Dragon Ball Z. I even used to make fun of it for a long time saying things like... for an action anime, they sure do a lot of standing around in poses threatening to kick each others asses and not actually doing it. Then I'd mock it by saying the scripts for the show were little more than "I'm going to kick your ass, no I'm going to kick your ass, no it will be me who kicks your ass, no, it will be I who does the ass kicking". I still make fun of it for taking 20 episodes to show a 5 minute fight.

My reaction to Naruto when I first saw it was "What is this? DBZ with ninjas?"
Title: Re: Anime...
Post by: cata on December 22, 2008, 01:36:24 PM
I guess I didn't like Naruto at first because in teh beggining of the Anime it was a funny story about a stupid kid and a love triangle. Then he protects his teacher and bla bla bla. I think Naruto, the main character, is too annoying and that's too bad when it comes to the MAIN CHARACTER. But fortunately the stories that follow the main storyline are attractive because it isn't just about defeating the bad guys and save our friends and village. The characters are addictive because each one has their personality and abbilities and what really makes A defeat B isn't their strenght or abbilities but brains and teamwork. Of course strenght matter but it isn't everything.

The last time I watched DBZ was when I was very young so I can't remember how it was. Besides, it aired really soon and I was always sleeping until my mom yelled at me and took me to school. I do plan to watch DB, DBZ and DBGT again.
Title: Re: Anime...
Post by: UruseiNeo on December 22, 2008, 07:14:24 PM
I still make fun of it for taking 20 episodes to show a 5 minute fight.

That is NOT a freaking exaggeration. I've been going over the episodes lately.

Frieza's like "The planet will blow up in five minutes"

8 episodes later, King Kai: "Most of the five minutes have been up"
Title: Re: Anime...
Post by: Kroptik on December 22, 2008, 11:13:02 PM
So true... If it wasn't for all the friendly chatting between trying to rip each other apart, the battles in Dragon Ball (and the series itself as a consequence) would be much much better.
In Naruto it isn't even close to it. Maybe that's why I prefer it to Dragon Ball.

Changing the topic a bit abruptly, has anyone noticed how animes nowadays seem to be so small?
Title: Re: Anime...
Post by: UruseiNeo on December 22, 2008, 11:21:34 PM
That's because people aren't really getting it. They think that Anime are cartoons and that its for kids.

Anime is for ALL ages. I'm trying to start an anime club at my school, one of the first events we MIGHT do is the Hare Hare Yukai Dance ^_^
Title: Re: Anime...
Post by: sidzero on December 22, 2008, 11:36:30 PM
That is NOT a freaking exaggeration. I've been going over the episodes lately.

And before posting that, I actually counted the episodes between when Frieza makes his little "blow up the planet" attack, and when the planet actually blows up on an episode list. So no, it's not an exaggeration.

Changing the topic a bit abruptly, has anyone noticed how animes nowadays seem to be so small?

If by small, you mean short, 26-episode runs, then yes.
Title: Re: Anime...
Post by: UruseiNeo on December 23, 2008, 12:07:34 AM
when you counted them did you use the uncut series or the cut series? I think I used the cut series so there may have been more episodes than I counted.

I have names for the different series length.

13 episodes is a "Quarter Season Series"

26 episodes is a "Semi Season Series"

52 episodes is a "Full Season Series"

Anything more, you count the number of openings/endings and call it "(Number) Season Series"

Ex. Urusei Yatsura has 9 Endings so I can it a 9 Season Series. Ranma is 7 Season Series.
Title: Re: Anime...
Post by: FallinG_StaR on December 23, 2008, 01:47:19 AM
The animes are smaller... (I think we discussed this before) because of the amount of anime that is produced/released every year... and the amout of anime companies making them... and probably the costs of making the animes...

Ex: I used to play Sonic the Hedgehog... for Sega Mastersystem and Mega Drive... The game was big (severeal levels) took me days to finish the games... Now I play the PC, PS2, PS3 versions... And I dont even take half a day finishing it...

PS. Naruto in the end will have Sasuke's baby... you want to know why??? Because Naruto and Sasuke are Ghey... XD
Title: Re: Anime...
Post by: Kroptik on December 23, 2008, 05:45:47 PM
That PS was eandom and unnecessary... o.o

I have names for the different series length.

13 episodes is a "Quarter Season Series"

26 episodes is a "Semi Season Series"

52 episodes is a "Full Season Series"

What about smaller ones?
-6 Angels has 6 episodes.
-Zaion I wish you were here has five episodes.

What are these, tiny season series?
Title: Re: Anime...
Post by: UruseiNeo on December 23, 2008, 05:56:46 PM
The best way to describe those ones are series that couldn't last long XD

Nah, I know that there are series that didn't want to go for long, I'd say Short Series works for them.

Or maybe "Week Long Series" as you can watch them in a week.

Which do you think is better?
Title: Re: Anime...
Post by: sidzero on December 24, 2008, 12:09:13 AM
If a series has that few episodes, it's usually not a TV series, it's usually an OVA series.
Title: Re: Anime...
Post by: UruseiNeo on December 24, 2008, 12:32:56 AM
usually, but not always. That's why I can't just label them as "OVA Series"
Title: Re: Anime...
Post by: FallinG_StaR on December 24, 2008, 12:42:43 AM
Smaller series are sometimes used just to promote the manga or visual novels... as well as there's now a new trend that is the ONA's (Original Net Animation)... That are only made available via the Internet or Interweb as I call it... XD
Title: Re: Anime...
Post by: UruseiNeo on December 24, 2008, 12:50:48 AM
any ONA's that we might know?
Title: Re: Anime...
Post by: FallinG_StaR on December 24, 2008, 12:56:40 AM
I know a few... like Penguin Girl... it's a 7min/episode series currently as 22 episodes total (at least for now)... that would correspond to 7 21 min. episodes... (I think) XD
Title: Re: Anime...
Post by: sidzero on December 24, 2008, 01:46:39 PM
Technically, all those little flash movies you find on sites like newgrounds would fall under the category of "Original Net Animation", if you want to go there...

Currently?  Not too much at the moment.

Urusei Yatsura (you all know what it's like)
Re: Cutie Honey (E)(C)(A)
Inukami! (C)(R)(A)(E)
Gundam 00 (A)(R)

Gundam 00 is on Sci-fi monday nights right now, and is pretty good.  Standard gundam fare of political drama, character development, and mecha fights.

Re: Cutie Honey has a cool retro throwback style in the art and animation (the opening looks like it was ripped right from a comic book) and is just a lot of fun to watch.  Has pretty good fight scenes (for a Cutie Honey), and manages to both have perverted humor and still seem "innocent," ...I don't really know how to describe it better than that.  It's a very short OVA, unfortunately.

Inukami! I just finished watching, and man was it awesome!  The randomness and perverted humor, the crazy episode ending narrator, the slew of sexually misconstrued situations (generally happens shortly after the opening theme), genuinely dastardly and colorful villains... And even some romance and drama, with Keita being pretty darn epic in the final fight.  I don't know how it's rated for 12 or 13+ like I saw in reviews, it gets not-so-borderline yaoi at various points, which was rather unpleasant.  If you don't want to see that kind of stuff, I recommend skipping episode 2 entirely (it's filler anyway), looking away from the screen for much of episode 17 (specifically the middle portion of the show), skipping the ending song on episode 18...and that's the worst of it.  I wish someone had told me these things in one of the reviews before I watched it, but despite that, still a great series.

My favourite is UY because well... it's just special. It was my first "step" into the Anime World. I watched DB, DBZ, DBGT and Sailor Moon way before than UY but I was a little kid and to me Anime didn't really exist. Every cartoons were the same to me.

Post by: UruseiNeo on December 26, 2008, 06:14:27 PM
the DB series, Sailor Moon, Pokemon and Digimon were like the "Big 4" of the 90's for that age group.

EVERYONE knew about them. Even if they didn't watch them all (and usually they did at some point), they at least HEARD of them cause of how popular they were.

Out of the 4, Pokemon is really the only one still going. DB series' ended, dunno about Sailor Moon, and Digimon comes back every now and then for a season with a diff cast.

I always thought pokemon was boring except the games. Digimon was awesome but then it was like every seasons were the same.

And for the age group I was in during the 90s (teenagers), DBZ, Ranma and Evangelion were the popular ones. Everyone who watched anime watched those.

And Pokemon was garbage except for the games. The games were actually kinda fun. I haven't played a Pokemon game since Silver, though, so I don't know if they're still any good or not. I don't think anyone but kids in the "lets watch saturday morning cartoons" age range (by that time I was in the "I'd rather sleep on saturday mornings" age range) ever cared for it.

All the ones I've watched in completion:
Urusei Yatsura (R)(C)
Trigun (A)
Neon Genesis Evangelion (sci fi, mecha, post apocalyptic)

All the ones I have not completed:
Ranma 1/2 (R)(C)
Lost Universe (sci fi)
Azumanga Daioh(C)

Lost Universe and Azumanga Daioh was aborted because I didn't enjoy them. I liked the first 20 episodes or so of Ranma but didn't enjoy the ones after that so I stopped watching it.

I am not watching any anime at the moment because I don't really have the time.

Ok I have to say... There's a few animes that started/start airing this week... and I have to say... besides 1 or 2 exceptions... I get the feeling they (Anime/Manga creators) are running out of ideas...

Here's the list for this month:

January 2010

02.01.2010 Halo Legends - Part 4 - Origins - OVA
03.01.2010 Chuu-Zumou - Short
04.01.2010 Gag Manga Biyori 4 - TV Series

09.01.2010 Kaitou Reinya - TV Series
22.01.2010 Fate/stay night TV Reproduction - OVA
23.01.2010 Fate/stay night Movie - Movie
23.01.2010 Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha The Movie 1st - Movie
27.01.2010 Darker than Black Side Story - Episode 1 - OVA
xx.01.2010 Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu - TV Series
xx.01.2010 Boku, Otaryman. - OVA

xx.01.2010 Nodame Cantabile: Finale - TV Series
xx.01.2010 Okamikakushi - TV Series
xx.01.2010 Omamori Himari - TV Series
xx.01.2010 Seikon no Qwaser - TV Series
xx.01.2010 To Love-Ru OVA - Episode 5 - OVA

I just want to point out 3 animes that I think are... well... 2 are weird and 1 is just a fusion of animes.

1st - Omamori Himari (the fusion of animes ;D )

Plot Summary:
The slapstick romantic comedy centers around an ordinary 16-year-old high school boy named Youto Amakawa who is protected by a spirit — specifically, a beautiful, sword-wielding cat girl spirit named Himari. Youto is descended from a family that has subjugated demons since time immemorial. The charm that once protected him is now impotent, but fortunately, at that same moment, Himari appears before him as his new guardian.

Genres: action, comedy, romance
Themes: harem

Ok it's like this... I like comedy romance and harem anime... but please if your going to release it as anime series make sure you don't go around making something that looks like allot of the series out there already.

#Invalid YouTube Link#

At least got some good fan service... ;D

Now for the other 2...

Lets start with Seikon no Qwaser.

Plot Summary:
In St. Mikhailov Academy, Oribe Mafuyu meets a silver haired boy called Alexander. He is a Qwaser, a being who can manipulate iron and draws his power from breast milk. A mystery surrounding an icon transforms the academy into a setting for conflict between the various Qwasers.

Ok... the plot I got is kinda confusing... but there's one thing I want to point out... and you can see it in bold letters... Now then... What the hell??
That's what you're thinking right? ;D
Yeah... I wonder how's that gonna work... I don't want to say anything else... see for yourselves...

#Invalid YouTube Link#

Still very nice fan service... ;D

For the 3rd one... Chu-bra!!

I'll just say this... Don't you people (Japanese) have already enough problems with pedophiles??? Seriously...

Plot Summary:
The story centers on Nayu, a middle school girl who shocks her schoolmates on the first day of school by wearing black lace panties. She likes this kind of underwear, and she tries to “spread the word on the merits of [these kinds of] underwear” via an underwear club with her schoolmates, who are worried about their bodies’ development and which underwear to choose.

#Invalid YouTube Link#

And here I was thinking making an anime around making bread was stupid... Guess we really needed one about underwear... ;D

I think that's it...

Btw, for the vampire loving fans... You should check out Dance in the Vampire Bund. Something like a Hellsing meets Twilight anime... ;D

#Invalid YouTube Link#

That's all... Thanks for your time... And if you're looking for info about what to watch/new in hentai... contact hentailord@haremkingdom.com

I think I'll start reading it too...

Anyway Angel Beats! a anime that I was waiting for because of the guy that made it... Jun Maeda (Kanon and Clannad) I have to say... 1st episode was really disappointing and I may not follow this anime if it keeps up like that... but like Otonashi says in the last seconds of the episode:
"No, it's too soon to think about that."

I hope he's right... XD

Edit: Ok... So I wasn't the only one...

Angel Beats Quality from the Get-Go

    * Author: Artefact
    * Categories: Anime, News
    * Date: Apr 3, 2010 21:22 JST

Angel Beats has been touted as a major cross-media production, but the error-riddled first episode has already been made a laughing stock, being variously described as “cheap” and having “pathetic composition.”

Apparently nobody trained her how to aim a rifle either – or perhaps she is just having difficulty on account of her hands.

Viewers point to animation mistakes, inconsistent character design, poor scene composition, and an overwhelming feeling of “cheapness” – and all in the first episode, traditionally where the quality is kept unrealistically high – as reasons for their disappointment.

Possibly the overwhelming similarity of the heroine to a certain iconic monomaniac (although in the actual anime the resemblance seems to have deteriorated along with the quality) was a major warning flag about the title.

Theses comparisons, though tired, are unlikely to stop and the similarities must have been obvious to producers from the outset. Just why they went along with the design is quite the mystery – laziness, sheer unoriginality or worse?

In spite of all this plenty were prepared to call the title amusing (although as many were seemingly unable to comprehend its convoluted storyline), so it may be too early to write it off as a failed anime.

Yay... Triple posting...

Well... this is something interresting...

From Sankaku Complex:

Ken Akamatsu, the mangaka behind such classic harem titles as Negima and Love Hina, has stated that both harem and moe titles seem to have had their day.

Responding to the results of industry research into the state of the anime market suggesting that the formerly dominant position of moe and late-night anime has declined precipitously, he sums up his thoughts on the state of the market:

Quote
Certainly, the moe boom is finished, and from last year on I think we’re seeing the following phenomena:

1. Male protagonists are absent

Many anime are now nothing but girls, and the role of the “male character being excited by female characters for viewers to empathise with” has disappeared.

2. Male buying power has reduced

Now women buyers of both anime and manga are predominant. Oricon comic rankings show most of the top titles are women-oriented.

3. Male viewers can now empathise with female characters

The number of male fans who simply don’t view female characters as objects of sexual desire at all is increasing, even in titles like “K-ON!”.* No more are they just thinking “I want to be part of that circle,” now they are getting into the characters themselves.

A friend of mine was saying “this will be the year of yuri!” thanks to number 3, but unfortunately I get the feeling the popularity of yuri is not quite that great…

Really?! He thinks yuri popularity is not that great?!
Did he really read the industry research? I'm seeing much more yuri anime coming out than it did 1 year ago... yet I'm still trying to figure out if they are trying to get the atention to the male or female demographic with that.

I took this from the website Yuricon:

Quote
Important Note as of 07/2009: Due to the recent explosion of Yuri, "The List" will no longer be expanded. It's simply not possible to keep up any more - which is an amazing and wonderful thing. We're definitely not complaining. :-) In 2000 when we created it, "The List" was an important, if always controversial, resource. In 2010 it will have little to no relevance to anyone.

*I underlined this part because I really don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing... ;D

I have nothing against yuri... but please sirs... don't take my dream of owning a harem from me... even if its only in anime... XD

If Harem anime/manga is partly defined by having a male cast member through which the audience may roleplay, then yes Harem anime/manga is waning.

I see it differently. Harem anime/manga is changing, not waning. The presence of a male character is no longer necessary; we in the audience participate silently now, no longer requiring a character through which we can interact with the harem.
Title: Re: Anime...
Post by: cata on August 27, 2010, 07:50:55 PM
Harem animes don't really appeal to me, to be honest. Love Hina was a surprise because it focused on other things than the harem itself. But Magikano, for instance, was just boring compared to Love Hina. Harem animes tend to repeat themselves and that's not appealing at all.

La Corda D'Oro is the inverted harem (1 girl, tons of boys) which was a fresh load of air. At first I wasn't really sure how it was going to work but after watching it, I loved it. In harem Animes we're expecting major comedy and/or ecchi scenes, something that La Corda D'Oro didn't present.

Urusei Yatsura (Ranma, Naruto, One Piece, ...) may be accused of repeating themselves but in a good way because what they repeat is personality traits like Ataru's girl-hunts, Lum's shocking therapy, Ranma's fighting for food with his father, Naruto's rasengan as finisher, Luffy's eating disorder (lmao) and so on.

But harem Animes seem to me like just a bunch of remakes that have little to offer.

@ Veehive: Harem anime/manga is defined by a romantic relation between the main character (male or female) and 3 or more characters from oposite/same sex.

Ataru dream was owning a arabic like harem... the japanese concept for anime genre harem is way diferent.

I agree with you that this genre is waning (even if I had to check the dictionary to see what waning was) ;D for male and female...
I also have to agree it is changing... but not the way you say...
The change in harem genre is that it's not used as main genre anymore and now more constantly used as a sub-genre... as part of the Comedy/Romance/Drama/Etc genres... used mostly for comic relief, fanservice or for character development.

Obviously we are now in the 21st century... where everything is taken out of context... or exagerated... add to this the fact that Japanese government is on a hunt to repress certain liberties the manga/anime industry had... you know something bad is going to happen...

@ cata: La Corda D'oro is just like I said... it has harem as sub-genre (I'm guessing here becuse I haven't seen it) for character development purpose.

That picture is so funny! xD Ataru trying to get Ranma's phone number (why is Ataru's outfit different? What happened to his blue jeans, white and blue sneakers and orange and red shirt?) and Lum all happy with her super spicy food. xD

And yes, Falling you're right: in La Corda D'Oro, harem is a sub-genre.

By the way... try to find Cherry (easy) and Dappya (not so easy). xD
