What is your favorite type of music ?
I'm a rock fan personally even through I listen to some Country.

With music I'm like this: "Show it to me and I'll tell you if I like it" ;D
I'm just not a fan of heavy metal (or as I call it, a guy shouting with a guitar playing in the background) and I tend to prefer techno, but I'll probably like whatever is shown to me.
Some of my friends even say that I have weird music tastes, but I dont care. ;D

Lately all I have been listening to is only Anime soundtracks or japanese music ::)

Almost anything BUT middle-of-the-road.
Especially like any band that resists easy catagorization. SURPRISE ME with your music.
Best little-known example of What I Like: a group out of Kent, Ohio: 15 60 75 (colloquially known as The Numbers Band).
Currently listening to: The Oreskaband's 2007 U.S. release, Bob Weir's 1978 solo album "Heaven Help the Fool", & a collection of UruseiYatsura theme songs gleaned from this very site.

Rock, Hard Rock, and some techno. Still I like to hear UY songs and Star Wars songs, knowing that those types are not in my favorites, but still I like to hear them ;D
And more than hear it, I like to play it, I play guitar ;D

The music you hear from MTV is industrial music. It's the one made by the people you are in it for the money.
It's still good music, but the concept behind it sucks. :-\

No, you're thinking of corporate music, not industrial music. Please wikipedia, could you tell me a little something about industrial music? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Industrial_music) If you don't feel like filling your head with wikipedia nonsense, then I'll tell you what it is. Think of it as taking electronic, pop, metal and noise, putting it into a blender with about a gallon of black dye, some razor blades, lots of drugs, barbed wire, a few nazis, and an assault rifle. You won't get anything like industrial, but it would be fun. Or you can just click here and go to my favorite internet radio station. (http://www.digitalgunfire.com/) In fact, you've probably never heard of an industrial band (unless of course, you know of bands such as KMFDM, Skinny Puppy, Nine Inch Nails (if you pretend Year Zero and With Teeth never happened), Rammstein and Marilyn Manson are sometimes considered industrial (industrial metal, actually).
I could also be a shameless self-promoting bastard and plug my own music. But I won't do that to you.

If I wanted to list all the crap I listen to, I'd spend half a day writing out the list because it can't just be lumped together unless I wanted to say just "music". I just put what I liked the best. :)

I like tons of different musics:
disco,newave,rock,hardrock, punkrock,reggae,electro-pop, some techno and even a few classic.
But i cant stand rap, RnB and the crap produced on french reality TV

I like all kinds of music but not hip-hop. I'm accustomed of hearing musics from the 70's to our days.

I like... better yet... I'm a huge fan of Linkin Park... that by itself their albums include several types of music genres... I like U2 and I like some oldies too like the Dire Straits... and obviously... lots of anime music... XD

Has anyone noticed how anime and videogame songs always seem to be better then the commercial crap you see around. I'm probably gonna like something I hear in an anime rather then something on MTV.

Thats probably because some anime music are made following the commercial music type... but with better music... the music used in anime are almost always sponsered/produced by Geneon or Sony Music... that puts it in the market as singles... so they have to be sure they make something people like...

Another facet of the same gemstone: Anime theme music has been used as a promotional source for new musical talent by their record labels (joined at the hip to the anime production companies) for decades now. The constantly-shifting opening and closing theme music on UY was at-least-partly due to interest by Kittty Records to promote their most-recently-signed artists.
A nice side-effect of this: since these songs are promotional items, they've received extra polish by the record labels.

My fav style of music is metal, but I listen classical music very often, classic rock and prog. In metal I like death, black, folk, thrash, doom, ambient, power and a bit of heavy. Now I'm listening Carcass, and my neighbours too... wheather they like it or not! lol
I don't like rap, hip hop, african music, brazilian music, techno, trance and derivatives.

I listen to everything with a few exceptions. Eminem, Britney, Marilyn Manson, P!nk, Nirvana, Fall Out Boy, Panic at the Disco, My Chemical Romance, Anime songs, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Seether, Queen, Skrillex ...
Then, I have songs of artists that I don't like but that for some reason I like those songs.

I like rock,metal,some old music like:ZZ top,Hurriganes,that kind of music cause im motorbike guy :P
I like most System of a down(SOAD) and Metallica.
