Hi, can anyone provide the subtitles in english from the 6 movies... I already try to look for them on the forum, but i couldn't find.
I already downloaded the movies, but i don't find any subtitles.
If someone can help me... thanks ^^
-
Neo1Fox has them uploaded on his youtube channel
-
LoL
Now you tell him... XD
-
Hey thanks a lot, my problem to watch them is solved.
But you know someplace where i can just download de subtitles? Because i already downloaded the movies in high quality. Thanks again ^^

I downloaded a torrent but... if you don't have the right software it might be tricky.
Here's why: The torrent basically contains all the movies (possibly the exception of movie 2 but you can get it from a similar torrent). The files, though, are MKV(?) type. Each of these files comes with the following:
Video
Japanese Audio
English Audio
English Subtitle (style 1)
English Subtitle (Style 2)
The advantage is that you can turn each movie into a japanese w/ subs version and a subless english version using software such as MKVmerge GUI then AlltoAVI.
MKVmerge GUI allows you to remove parts of the file. EX. you can remove the English Audio and one of the subs for a subbed japanese dubbed version then use AlltoAVI to turn it into a playable format.
If you HAVE the player for MKV's already, then that player should be able to allow you to switch subs or audio through something like "edit, view, file, etc"
But first things first, do you want to go to all this trouble? If so, tell me and I will send u the link to the torrent and after which try to help you through steps.
LoL
Now you tell him... XD
What's that supposed to mean? I replied like 3 hours after he posted 0.0

Well, you COULD go through all the long process you describe. That's one way.
Or you can just make sure your subtitle settings on your media player are right, because the MKV files of the UY movies (and the MKVs of both the UY TV anime and the OVAs) that are floating around out in torrentspace, they already have the subtitles built in.
-
have u tried codecs? what is yer file format?
-
hey thanks a lot, i didn't know about those stuff in MKV files.
Just one more question, in my case i'm trying to watch them on media player classic. I can see the option of subtitle and audio, but even if i change the subtitle for any of eng subs, it just doesn't appear the subs in the screen... do you know why??? thanks a lot
-
I think the same thin happens to me. have you tried opening it with Windows Video Player?
If that doesn't work, you may need to use the software i mentioned
-
No, I use regular Media Player, and the subtitles work every time for me, so you really don't need to go through all that editing process. The settings are there somewhere, but I think they're somewhere in the codec's settings. I don't remember exactly where, though. All I remember is that I had trouble finding them too, but once I set it up I never had to touch them again.
-
hey gus, thanks for the tips...
unfortunately, i just can't find a way to open the subtitles, i already try a lot of things but i didn't find ^^
i will try to download a specific player for MKV files and see if it works... thanks a lot XD
-
If you're gonna do that, get the Matroska player, it's the one MKV's were invented for.
-
I believe that's the one I have, Matroska, because the files say that they are that type.
Tell me if u need those programs for reformatting MKVs.
-
download THIS (http://www.free-codecs.com/download_soft.php?d=4233&s=572) or THIS (http://www.free-codecs.com/download_soft.php?d=4234&s=572), and then install it.
now try it, plz. it oughta work now.
-
mkv- files work great for me after having installed the codec, try to use vlc media-player. I get both subs and audios.
-
do you mean both "subs and audios" or both subs and both audios?
-
I had a sit and think about it, and now I remember how I used to watch my MKV files, with everything working perfectly.
First go here. (http://www.matroska.org/downloads/windows.html) Download the CCCP codec pack and Core Media Player. I had completely forgotten about CMP because I stopped downloading and watching anime once I started finding places where I can just stream them from. As I recall, CMP is probably THE best video player out there. With the CCCP, it will play just about any video file you can download, and it supports just as many formats.
-
LoL... Finaly...
I was going to say that... CCCP is the program I use for watching .MKV files. It the most complete Codec Pack there is.
-
I just needed a swift kick to the brain.
Actually, I remembered cause my friend downloaded Rozen Maiden and it was in MKV files. Being computer stupid, she asked me how to play them and being a good friend, I found her the link to the Matroska site and, like a lightning bolt going off inside my head, I remembered. Don't we all love story time? :)
-
Sid... you were nice but you were mean, too. =S
-
If, by being mean, you're referring to me calling her computer stupid, then not really. That's just how things are amongst my closest friends.
-
Well computers are hard. I don't even know as half of what you know, for example to put a film on a DVD. Guess I'm considered a computer stupid huh?

mkv- files work great for me after having installed the codec, try to use vlc media-player. I get both subs and audios.
VLC is like the swiss army knife of media players. Small and compact with a simple GUI as well...no need to freak out over codecs. ;D
