Can you explain us why will this happen, Ataru+Lum?
I might agree (a little) with Ataru becoming a bit like Ran but I fail to see Lum becoming another Shinobu
Ataru+Lum:
Young Lum usually bullied young Ren, even thought it was not intentionally.
I think Young Lum should bully young Ataru if they meet 5 years early.
(Lum, Ren and Ataru all are naughty people.)
For Shinobu, she loves Ataru, but the love is just the games of childhood because they meet very early. Shinobu clearly knows Ataru's flirty. If Lum meets Ataru early, their love is also just the games of childhood and loses the accidental excitement as chapter 1.

Your theory would only work if you take Shinobu out of Ataru's life
Even if Lum knew Ataru when they were children, one should not forget that Shinobu was already Ataru's friend
There would be a Love/Friendship Triangle during their childhood instead of Lum becoming into a clone of Shinobu
