Title: What sort of car(s) would the Urusei Yatsura character(s) drive?

What sort of cars do you think the UY cast would drive? Its up to you whether you stick to cars made in the 80s or cars made later or even earlier?

I think one of the cars Lum would drive is a first generation 1989 Mazda MX5 convertible though of course it would have to be resprayed to yellow with black tiger stripes first.

Mendou Shutaro would drive a 1982 80s Mercedes 190E.

Ataru would drive the 1984 Toyota MR2 sports car, partly because it suits his personality and mostly because he thinks it would impress girls, even more so with a manual gearbox.

Cherry in compliance with his vow of asceticism would drive a 1980 Fiat Panda 4x4 free from any optional extras. The four wheel drive system would help to get to places unexpectedly. The drawbacks of this car is that he would see what was ahead through the steering wheel.

My brother's first car was IN FACT a 1984 Toyota MR2 XD
