Title: What do your family and friends think of anime and your interest in it?
Post by: Urusei0Yatsura on December 19, 2011, 09:33:42 AM
My family don't like it, my brother used to think of them as violent cartoons and now he thinks of them as something that is good but he just doesn't personally like. My Dad said he though Case Closed the last wizard of the century was a"alright", wishing I'd showed him the first one, ' Case Closed: the time bombed skyscraper'.

When I was ill I watched School Rumble, found it a little bit funny and my Mum said she wanted to find out what would happen Harima Kenji was making his own manga and meeting an editor. I thought school rumble had the potential to be really funny if you had the right sense of humour, the dub used to be available officially on youtube but now they only have the sub.

I watched Death Note and Hellsing Ultimate OVA with my grandparents, they thought Death Note was good but was not the sort of thing they liked and wondered what the Catholic and the Protestant churches would think of Hellsing.

I can't recall giving a flying leap about what my family or anyone else thinks about my watching cartoons or anime. I'm not running for a political office. Although Herman Cain was quoting Pokemon

Unless you are real young (which is possible) don't worry about liking cartoons/anime, have fun with it.
When you decide to run for a political office you can still watch it just don't tell the people voting for you, that you watch it.  8)
