Disc covers: For one's LD backups and such

(1/2) > >>

zakezuke:

Greetings folks... i'm kinda new here and stumbled upon this site when I was making a set of covers for the latest UY set.  While the covers I design are for those slim 4cd jewels, I do have the more traditional jewel and longbox style.  Perhaps someone else would find them useful as well.  Animeigo's covers are OK but they are simply not as spiffy as the old LD covers were and I wanted to at least capture some aspect of that on the disc labels.

I welcome sugestions or someone who wants adapt them to their own needs.

Enclosed is a sample based on the "Open Invitation" theme.

Heh, in Italy just started the sell of DVD version, and fortunately they used the LD covers...lucky!! ^^

Welcome around here, Zakezuke!! ;)

bentenlover:
i love mendo dancing there he is the best

zakezuke:
Thanks for the welcome  moroboshi.

bentenlover, this could be considered a roshak test.  If you can ID the characters from their shadows you've watched it too much.  I noticed this when I was labeling all the images.  Still Ataru's father is employing the most unique dance style.

While I like the shadow dancing this is my favorite.

The respective images are available on the filefront address priviously listed.

Disc 1 is now complete pending upload.  I had labels for the first set but they were ultra basic.  With this one can spot it from a distance and looks presentable enough to be on a coffee table which well, you can't put 50 LDs on a coffee cable, not if you want to drink coffee.

Righto... I've expanded my backup project a little to include cases for the offical dvds, in handy dandy slim 10 cases.  It should cut down the size of a stack from somewhere in the .7 meter class to the .165 meter class.  Seeking opinions before I release my final version.
