Title: Platina Jazz Anime Standards
Post by: janus on August 06, 2011, 04:52:39 AM
I found this a few years back I can't remember if I posted about this before, but oh well here it goes.
Few of my hobbies are watching anime and listening to music, I like listening the the music that comes with anime. One of the many music genres that I love is jazz.
So combining anime op/ed songs with jazz it makes everything even better.

I'll start off on the most recent song posted on youtube, but I recommend that you visit the channel here http://www.youtube.com/user/platinajazz#g/u
The first thing that came to my mind with this song was "Oro?"

I like the song called Genesis of aquarium that starts @ 1:57

volume 1 and volume 2 are already out and one of the songs that was not video recorded that I like is the hare hare yukai song. I uploaded only one of the songs

To be honest, I have never much of a fan of Jazz (except some music from Miles Davis) but these musicians are true craftsmen because these musical pieces are excellent

I took me a while to recognize the first song as been a Jazz version of "Sobakasu" from Rurouni Kenshin but I enjoyed this original variant

Genesis was also an enjoyable song because of its romantic overtones

Thanks for sharing, Janus
