Is there a way to find anime conventions near where you live?

I found some in my area through google. There's actually a club for anime, and there are several conventions each year. I'm gonna try going to one in February.

There are Forums about Anime in general which provide information about Anime-related events. Of course this Forums only provide info on those events which are realized in their own country, I mean, a portuguese Anime Forum only transmits info on Anime events organized in Portugal.
