Shoujou-ai (both log, as I recall - not Shoujo) doesn't necessarily have to contain what my friend refers to as "the x-rated goodness"... but Yuri does.
Same with Shounen-ai/Yaoi.

I remember another article saying to maked sure to draw a distinction between Shoujou-ai and Yuri.
Yuri is lesbian hentai.
Shoujou-ai is female lovers.
For example... Nepune/Uranus = Shoujou-ai. It isn't yuri.
