Well, I surely love anime and manga, but appreciate every kind of quality animation production...
I lked several later Disney productions, especially Pixar's movies (The Incredibles was really good!!) and several other titles, like "Ice Age", "Iron Giant" and Don Bluth's movies as well...
I love Sci-Fi (Star Trek series rules!!), horror (The Ring was quite interesting), Action (The Rock...rocks!!!) ... well, any kind of good movie; Ghostbusters, Back to the Future, Matrix... :)
I love videogames too, from the first things like Moon Cresta in the 80ies to the newest masterpieces like Resident Evil, Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill and tons of other titles!
...and it's really fun to play with anime-based games: one shot, two kills!! :)

I'm learning japanese from a 80's Tv show that teaches you how to survive in Tokyo...
One thing I learned is asking for directions... That I think it would really help me if I got lost... The bad and hard part is understanding the answer... LoL

oh my goodness....
i always forget what i was about to do in the kitchen when i get there...
suddenly i'm there and i ask myself "what am i doing here??" i go back and then i remember then i got to the kitchen and forget [again]

I have something like that.
I'm on my way to my room sometimes and I turn left into my bathroom, then I ask "What the hell am I doing here"... O_o

Its not exactly a memory thing... I just go into a room that I don't need to on the way to another. :-\
The funny thing is when my mom is behind me after I've told her I was going to my room. xD

I am like the worst person to remember names, I have to have funny/interesting thing about the person to remember it. Sometimes I don't ask again for the persons name, and it really gets harder to try to ask as time passes

you should try writing their names on you hand and discretely looking at it when they dont see

you could ask them to put their names in their foreheads xD

It took me nearly the whole year to learn the name of some of my classmates, and I saw them every weekday at least...So i guess I can say I have a worse memory. xD

lol i never learned everyone's name in my hall [summer camp] even if i spent three weeks straight with them....

I'll stick by writing their names on their forehead or I could give people "HELLO my name is" sticker and ask them to fill them out

The thing I think its funny is when you forget your own girlfriend name... LoL
Another thing I avoid is telling people my name... because I hate when 2 min after i tell them they say... "What's your name again?"
Btw, I have a file with all the info regarding passwords and usernames... and I have to check it in a daily basis... :& LoL

That's the worst thing you can do forget your girlfriend's name and to top it off trying to guess it be mentioning other girl's name, you'll have your last day marked there O___o

Rejoice,lumaholics,about 98 % of mankind has that kind of problems,no matter how hard we try,we will tend to forget vital data (could it be a plan of Forgotten?),it only requires patience to remember

in class teachers say: "do you have photographic memory as to not need to take notes???!!"
so i take out my notebook and i start drawing anime characters xD

I think DarkDevil is talking about a "carpet-bombing" name-recollection strategy. If you say all the (thousands) of names you can remember, chances are the correct name will be in there somewhere. However, if you don't recall the name at all, this strategy doesn't work because you won't even be able to say it...
Even then, if you still can't associate the person (or thing ?) with the name, you'll have to repeat all the names all over again... ;D

once you are in the "hey dude" part there's no turning back, unless you hear someone calling him/her by their name, once you hear it devote yourself in learning it :P

It's so embarassing when you know someone but you can't remember her/his name. I hate when that happens. Mostly when I need to get the atention of somebody.

Good method,just always remember that sometimes when ya send notes in school you are risking to be caught by the teacher

Lol. I have a special reputation while I'm at school. I have good grades but I don't like to be quiet paying atention to what the teacher is saying. I do all the homeworks and stuff but I talk so much during classtime! That's the reason why I am always alone in one desk in classes.

I talked a lot, but I was very careful, so I was rarely caught. Also, the teachers always seemed to like me for some unknown reason, so I didn't have any problems. ;D
And no, I'm not a boot licker, if that's what you're thinking. :P

The teachers liked me, too but it was because my grades were good. They just wanted my mouth shut. The teachers, usually, like me but I never like them. Well, there are always one teacher that I prefer but... they are too boring.

My school will start on 17th September. Even with my classes I'll check the Forum at least one time each day.

post-secondary schools always have weird starting days, my college starts september 4, so nothing was new for me,but i do have the option to do 3 semesters a year so i can have a really long summer, but then there is the university/college(it is both a university and college and the college is just another campus of my college) just down the street that starts about 2-3 weeks before me

Geez... That's what I would call really BAD luck. But if you miss really your friends as I miss mines... it would be a good gift to stop missing them as you were missing them before. But in your B-day looking at an unpleased face of a teacher... it's so... it's so... I can't find the right word.

Sounds like going to College is fun though i'll eventually be there after I take a year or two off and just work so I have money to go to college and find a place in the area. Oh great i'm just thinking i'm some kind of Manga character.
