Because the cost of making live action films vary, I assume the same goes for anime films, if films with a similiar level or writers, directors, actors, props and special effects (I know the last two don't actually exist in the making of an anime, I am referring to the money spent on the art work) would making an anime film or a live action film cost more and how would the costs vary in comparison.

Live action films usually take more money over Animation. Basically Animation is cheaper since its sometimes done in an office with a small group of people, most of the work drawing animation in between keyframes sometimes outsourced to other countries. in the other hand in live-action buying or renting expensive equipment hiring people to handle that equipment so on and so forth. the difference is ovious

I think that the costs are much higher in the live action films much because of the special effects for the film.
I personally donĀ“t like the live action films, just saw the 3 Death Note live action films wich are pretty good.
Just thinking about that reminds me of the Dragon Ball live action which was a huge failure, i never saw the movie but i have friends who saw it and they told that it was a wast of time just seeing it.

although it does not directly have to do for the budget of animation but you get the idea
