I think that it's time to Lum's daughter Mayuka have is own topic. Everyone please tell what you think of her, if she is seemed with Lum or Ataru, how she will be in the future and especially try to find new pictures of her to i'll post some already knowed.

Mayuka seems like an interesting character indeed, being a future daughter of Lum and ataru,may be. But I like the series just the way they are with nothing changed. But still, I'm willing to discuss it.

I deep support Mayuka not by I discovered the website and brought Mayuka to the forum but because I like to think what could be the future of Ataru and Lum, and I found it

I think Mayuka is a pretty well thought character. She's like her mother in a lot of aspects.
She looks a lot like her, for a start. There's a manga where her hair isn't in ponytails, and with her hair down she looks just like Lum.
Also, she has Lum's carefree personality and always seems to be happy.
I think it will be Mayuka that will lead Lum and Ataru into having their second child (though I don't understand Japanese, I think Mayuka asks for a brother after playing a while with Shinobu and Inaba's second child, a daughter).

In the first Mayuka says to Lum that Shinobu will have a new baby and she thinks it adorable and ask very shyly if she can have another brother/sister

Here we see Lum's reaction and starts to think.

In the third Lum seems to agreed and tells to Mayuka that everything is gonna be alright.
Finally we see Ataru reaction that also agreed.

That's what you think nebbo but this manga of UY it passes several years later of the serie. It doesn't seem because Lum look like she have 17 years old. On this manga I think Lum have 24/25 no more no less

Yeah, I just can't imagine her as a mother, in my mind Tomobiki is frozen in time.
It'd still be nice to have it translated.

Dang it.... Can't read it. I hope it's an actual manga -- not fanfiction. Takahashi left the series open. I'd like to assume that Lum and Ataru do get together. Mayuka makes that possible... but is it fanfiction?

No it's not but every month is updating with new things and you also can translate the website if you want

Takahashi hasn't revisited or approved of any further stories? Any prints or web postings are just fanfiction, doujinshi or gaiden? That is to say, it's not necessarily what Rumiko was intending to happen -- just what other people perceived might happen.
(I'd like closure to this series. One can hope that Lum and Ataru find happiness together, but until Takahashi okay's it, then we'll never know.)

More or less,here is the most probable chronology at da anime
-The 195 anime series episodes
-Movies 1,2 and 3 and TV Specials happened between the series
-After episode 195 comes Movie 4
-The OVAS appear
-Movie 5 "The Final Chapter"
There is no problem if Movie 6 is after or before The Final Chapter,it barely alters da UY saga

According to what I've read somewhere the 6th movie fits anywhere in the storyline, but the movie was made in honor of the 10th anniversary of UY, It would be very confusing for some if the movie advanced the the plot by that time (since some time had passed since it last aired)
But anyway, Mayuka would be a good daughter that could fit the plot somehow, but still it would be considered fan fic (in my opinion)

I have been thinking about Mayuka asking a brother or a sister and I came up with this:
Mayuka said to Lum that she wanted a brother or sister. A few months later 2 twins born. Both with the same personality, lust and perv stuff, just like the 17 year old Ataru.
What do you think?

I too view this manga as fan fic, exceptionally well draw, but still not accurate enough. Ataru has reformed his character so far that he seems to be a different person.
Still, It would tie up a lot of lose ends if this were approved :)

True, Mayuka looks more like Lum but we can see some things of Ataru in her. Not his lust of course. I recently found some pic. of Mayuka.

Mayuka may have got alot of her looks from her mother but im pretty sure, especially from the manga ive seen, she got her attitude from her father, not so much as the lust but every other part that you have to look at ataru's personality closely to see

well,I stilll like the original series.
for me, Mayuka is still a fanfiction, not created by Rumiko Takahashi.
Lum is still a 17 years girl in my mind!
but anyway, Mayuka is like her mom!!

If Rumiko Takahashi didn't disagreed with the directors of the series we could have seen a continue of the series with Mayuka after few years.

from what ive been hearing(not knowing if it is true), the license for urusei yatsura keeps getting sold, if someone were to buy the license, that wanted to continue the series, i'm pretty sure takahashi couldn't do anything about it, but honestly its been 20 years since UY ended, i doubt there will be any complaints

But we can see that she isn't interested to make a continue because of some disagrements or other problem, and of course she's continuing the manga of Inuyasha.

As far as i have been informed,she is just completing Inuyasha to complete her contract of 500 chapters,it wouldnt harm her to do one last UY tale

I checked and Rumiko have a contract to make 35 volumes and the chapter 520 was out on September 4th. The volumes is in the 30th, the 31st will be in shops on October and the 32nd on the next January so we have to wait a lot.

Normally some japanese girls names end with the suffix "-ko",so another name should be suggested i guess,how about Rei or Ataru Jr.?

It's beautiful work, whoever the artist is (or artists are ...). Puts a (I don't believe I'm saying this) Happy Ending on the original story and presents a new beginning for the cast of UY. I'd like to see the artist (artists) take on the whole UY crew. Just what has happened to some of the other cast members in the intervening 10 years -- how's Ten dealing with becoming a Teen-Ager, maybe Rei is getting chubby from all Ran's good cooking .... :D

I think it was because of the discussions with the directors that made the UY episodes because of the "fillers" that were made and Rumiko disagreed with that because she wanted the episodes were right as the manga.

From the "Mayuka" pages (the ones that pop up on the Random Gallery Image) that I've seen so far, I'd say Mayuka has both flight and shock capabilities.

what happen to rei, ran,mendo, benten and oyuki I don't know but I know from the Mayuka pages Shinobu is married with Inaba and she have a son.
Mayuka is 5 or 7 year old girl and Ataru is still a flirt (only a little now) but he still loves Lum.

Mendou is still rich. i'm sure of it. Oyuki is still a cold Queen. Benten has still her gang. Sakura is with Tsubame, almost married I guess. Ran has her funny and scary personality. Megane stopped loving Lum but he fell in love with an unknown girl but she doesn't love him (Megane-Lum kind of relationship) Chibi became a spy. Perm became a hairstylist. Shinobu have finnaly found lucky in love matters (Inaba). Cherry has't change a bit. Rei is a "taster" (his job is to taste food in contests). Ran is always a contestant when the juri is Rei. Kakugari became a Sumo athlete. Ten became a student xD.
It's just what I think.
