In the oddest places, everyone is finding invitations to a festival. They gather to try and figure out who is responsible and decide to attend and see what happens. What happens is the sun goddes show up. and at the end  of the episode many many familiar people from the series show up as well  :wink:

The ending was intended to be the 5th movie, "Boy meets girl", containing exactly (well, almost...) the last two volumes of the manga, but in 1991 was edited "Itsudatte my darling" , the 10th anniversary special...

Yeah, I know that but he's talking about the end of the series. Anyway seems like UY has no end cuz it always ends up were it started... mostly.

Well, the tv anime ended in 1986, the manga in 1987 so the ending couldn't be a real ending... :/ ...they didn't know Lamu was going to marry Ataru or not and so decided to leave open the whole story, waiting for the final tankobon... :P...and then the 5th movie... :o ...and another open ending... :9 ...this had to remain a never-ending story!!! :D
This is why I love it soooo much!!! :*)
But Lamu and Ataru marriage has been shown in Inaba's OAV, so...   ;)

Let me make you a question (I'm going off topic :&) did Ranma got back to normal, I mean did he get reed(sp) of his female side?

Well, the episode 193 (last episode) of TV Series are very cool.
I saw this episode years ago because ALL the Tv Series was emited  by a local channel in madrid(Spain).
Not a real ending but this episode are  very funny.

Almost every trouble Ranma had during the story was due to the search for the man's spring, that should be able to solve his problem, but obviously the story ended with no solution... xP
Shampoo, Mousse, Genma, Ranma and all the other "transformers" remained with their problem, ready for another story, a story that Rumiko Takahashi will never write... :)

Heh, I agree in full with your point!!  ;)
But I intended "the end" as the ending of production... :)
IMHO the "never-ending" style of the serie is one of its toughest assets!!! :*)

To see movies and specials without knowing characters through the vision of the serie is a major loss!!! :|

Ok, this way they are still funny products, but no more... :'(

If you could watch those movies after seeing the serie you would see something different...!!! ;)

Especially Last Movie... :)

I mean, Ataru didn't tell nothing to Lum but showed his love for her better than ever, and Lum seems to understand it quite well...
Ataru may continue to chase other women and Lum may zap him forever, but there relation is definitely safe!! ;)

Animeigo owns the rights to Uy here in the states and they haven't released the whole series just over half of it.

Like in the OVA Catch the Heart Lum's way of showing her love to Ataru was Zapping him whit a high voltage charge so Ataru's way of saying I LOVE YOU to Lum is chaseing other girls. This is just wat i think LOLOL
