But I suppose you have to be positive, we're lucky it's even being released here. And on a brighter note, some US fans may like the idea that they'll be domestic UY releases twenty years after the series' end. It's all about looking forward to something each quarter! A bit wacky? Yes.

BTW, what are we going to do on October 14, 2001?

Hopefully there won't be another movie release using the same style of animation they used in Movie #6 (the Tenth Aniversary Special). That is something all UY fans could do without. The plot to that movie was good though ;)

I think the best idea for the 20th (or 25th) anniversary would be to re-release the movies, and put in all the cut scenes.

Yeah, It would rock to see the cut scene from Beautiful Dreamer...Oshii tying up the end of the film with the Urashima Taro legend.

I wonder what was cut out of Lum The Forever...?

I don't know, but whatever was cut out of Lum The Forever probably had to be extremely bizarre. Also, if they did the re-releasing thing, it would be cool if they called it "Urusei Yatsura: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut".

Hehe, you know, when I watch Lum The Forever I get the distinct impression that it's a nearly 2 hour movie compressed into 90 minutes. It just feels like a good chunk of something is missing.
