mostly videogame music, anime/J-Pop and old 80's rock/metal(everything of American  music from the  90's on is  dead to me....)
some bands I like are Styx(saw'em in concert a couple weeks ago after scroing tickets in a 'fixed' contest....) Aerosmith(their old stuff...now they're just a pop band) Jefferson Airplane/Starship the Beatles(ok so they were before the 80's but oh well) Queen, the Stones Pink  Floyd Peter Frampton, Billy Joel Elton John and several others who I can't name off the top of my head, for anime/J-pop just about anything by Tomokazu Seki(my fav seiyuu and he does alot of hard  rock/metal) and Midorikawa(seiyuu of my GOD Lion Magnus/Judas he also did the 4th ending theme of YYH), as for videogames Motori Sakuraba(Tales  of series, Valkyrie Profile, Star Ocean series Golden Sun etc...) and some  Uematsu but I'm starting to get board with his FF music...

For the last six months or so, I've been listening almost exclusively to anime soundtracks, the best being Urusei Yatsura, Ranma½, Bishoujo Senshi Seeraa Muun (especially the live action version) and Mobile Suit Gundam. Besides that, I'm into britpop a lot, Stone Roses, Manics, Suede, Radiohead &c. Also lot of classic 60's & 70's rock from both Britain and the US, like The Kinks, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, The Clash, Pistols, and of course, The Grateful Dead. The Dead at Swing Auditorium on 26/02/77 is just something divine.

At home (While surfing the net or reading a book) I'd like to listen to Anime Soundtracks such as Urusei Yatsura, Project A-Ko and related Anime.
While in my car driving from A to B and viceversa I have Trance/House/Hardcore kind of music to keep me awake (I drive a lot at night to get things fixed for other peeps)

Generally, I have broaden my taste of music in the past years from Disco to Metal/Grudge to Classical to Trance.
I don't play any R&B, Soul, Jazz. When I have a bad day I'd like to listen to some Classical Music like Rafael, Debussy and Werner.

Hmm, maybe it's time to listen to Anime at home/in the car? It _will_ crank up your Otaku Score :)

Just converted The Complete Music Box to MP3 to have it played in my car :) WOW, sounds good with all the new equipment I've installed a few days ago  :D

This reminds me when I was searching like a mad for any UY track, years and years ago, and the best I was able to find were horrible noises on tape... and I was happy for that... yuck  }:|
God bless mp3's!! :D)

A lot of 80s, some 50s and 60s, I a lot of UY music as well. I burned a CD with UY music and I used to play it in my car. I really like that song "Tonogata Asobase" and just recently discovered the song "Ureshii!! Tanoshii! Daisuki!!" tonight. I wish it was longer. There's also some 90s music and smooth jazz.
