Title: Takahashi Missing
Post by: veehive on January 31, 2010, 07:23:25 PM
... Her deadlines, that is. First, she misses a weekly installment of Kyoukai no Rinne back in December, now she'll be missing TWO weeks through the middle if February. Very very un-like her to do so, she's known for keeping her deadlines.

No reasons have been offered.

I always think the worst in situations like this.

Hope all is well.

Cmon, mangakas deserve a break too, especially considering how they're so overworked. :S

Just wait paciently, if something had happened I'm sure we'd know about it someday.

Maybe her fans don't like so much Rinne and Shonen Sunday is thinking to abolish it ?!?

I HOPE SO  :icon_mrgreen:

XD please tell me you're kidding! Once Rumiko creates something, she commits to it for a long time.

Hi hi hi, I'm not kidding at all  ;D

Ah, Rumiko: why you've denied the manga which gave you glory ?!?  ;(

Hey, everyone has problems. Whether it's personal issues or not. It can be even a problem of lack of inspiration for no apparent reason. Who knows? Let her take her time and not rush things. I would rather wait for something good than get something bad immediately.

Why? You don't even like reading mangas... ;D

But yeah... everyone has their problems... And who knows... after so many years drawing... plus the age factor... she could be having problems just trying to keep the pencil in her hand...

She's only 52, I don't think age alone is the problem.
Though considering she's a mangaka (and all the stress that comes from it) you might just be right about that Falling. :S

Lets just hope she just decided to take a vacation somewhere and that it's nothing too serious.

It goes for everything. Heck, I've waited 1 year for a season of my fav. TV show of all time and when it came out, it sucked so bad!!!!!!!!!! I would rather wait 10 years if it was good.

Well, maybe she has just read "a new beginning from the end" and is already thinking how to realize it into a film !!!

Takahashi is one of the wealthiest individuals, and the most affluent mangaka in Japan.

Rich people choose their days off... they don't care about deadlines... besides... it's not that weird for that to happen...

Quote
Her first published story was Urusei Yatsura, a comedic science fiction story. She had difficulty meeting deadlines to begin with, so chapters were published sporadically until 1980. During the run of the series...

Maybe she wants to go back to her roots?! :P

If she wants to take a vacation, then she can. She deserves one ;)

Besides, I'm still reading volume 1 (bought the manga BTW)
