UY Otaku frequently call this period in the show's history "Mamoru Oshii earns his art house wings" or some such variant.

Now some UY fans (including myself) liked these more "progressive" episodes for various reasons...but the question I would like to ask is if some UY fans prefer either the later Yamazaki episodes or the very early manga stories turned TV episodes.

Moroboshi:
I LOVED the Oshii period, included the magnificent movie "Beautiful dreamer"... :P
Later I discovered other works of him, like "Patlabor the movie" (great!!! :o) and "Ghost in the shell" (not bad 8))!!! (right now I'm looking forward to see "Avalon"... :))

Unfortunately I haven't had the chance to see the entire UY serie, in Italy 1/3 of the episodes is still missing, so I cannot say which period is the best...but I'm collecting the english subbed episodes and soon I should be able to see the missing ones and decide!!!  :)

Parias:
Moroboshi: I've got a huge collection of subbed episodes currently stored on DVD - if you want me to send a few of them to you online, give me a shout over ICQ (1293359).

Thank you, but I've already collected 4 huge archives containing about 100 episodes, others are on the way from a friend of mine... and as I'm using my job's pc to connect to internet I cannot go too far with downloads...  :'(
But thank you anyway!!!  ;)
