[EXPLAINED] What is the money donated spent on?

Urusei0Yatsura:
What is the money donated spent on?  What can Lum-chan.com get for £5?

SonicDaMan:
Isn't it kinda obvious...

FallinG_StaR:
Maintaining the website doesn't come cheap... so any help is welcome... it doesn't matter if its £1 or £5...

Lum-chan:
Most of the donations go into the hosting of the whole site and leftovers stay on the account. It wouldn't be fair to use donations for other purposes, right? This is how I see it.

And about the donation itself: If you donate just £1 or £5 or even more, it's all appreciated and will be used to keep the website alive. Keeping it alive is rather costly beside all the time I have put into it the last 13 years. Until 2003 or 2004 hosting was free of charge but since then I have to pay for the hosting itself and the bandwidth it consumes. I have no problem at all with these costs and will try or die trying to keep this site online.

Remember: 'The World of Urusei Yatsura's Lum' is one of the longest active sites besides Tomobiki-cho maintained by Mason Proulx. It's since November 1996 online and survived several hosting companies  ;) That's a unique thing, most sites don't survive that long on the Interwebs...
