VIZ Spring Survey! Tell VIZ you want UY!

(1/1)

EggsAndBacon:
Hello everyone,
I was recently browsing the VIZ Media Facebook page when I found that VIZ have made their Spring Anime Survey. Seeing how VIZ is selling Ranma 1/2 BluRays (And Ranma being made by Rumiko Takahashi) I thought that it'd be a great idea to comment about a re-release of UY on the survey! They say that they read each response carefully, so I'm sure it'll be noticed! If you want to take the survey and maybe see more UY in the future, here is the link to the survey: http://bit.ly/VAs14surv  I sure hope that we'll be seeing more UY in the future due to this!
Thanks,
Alex

Done and done! Now I hope UY does come out ^^

Hi! Thanks for doing the survey! I too hope that we will see some more UY in the future. I was actually having a discussion with some other people about UY on Reddit and they brought up some good points about how the early animation style puts off some first-time viewers (Which I can agree with to some extent). They also mentioned the new remake: Sailor Moon Crystal. This got me thinking, what if UY got a remake like this? I hear that when remakes like this occur they stay very true to the original, so I don't think there would be a problem there. This would probably bring in some new American fans. I don't know how they'd do it, but would you have something like this, or something like the Japanese BluRay version being subtitled and brought to America?

Thanks,
Alex

I'm with you on the point of the early animation style as it does put some people off. There is a "unique taste" in the early animation IMO.

I wouldn't complain if they did make something like a remake, as I support any UY merchandise. However the problem with UY being introduced to new American fans might be hard as it doesn't really have a foothold in America. Sailor moon has been around since the 90s and regardless if you liked anime or not YOU HAD heard of Sailor Moon in the 90s.
