Viz announced at the New York Anime Festival that the new Inuyasha anime will be simulcast online on Saturdays, starting October 3rd. You can see the new series on Hulu.com or Shonensunday.com/anime. Additionally the Animax channel will show the episodes a week after their debut in Japan. Source: Anime News Network
So ... if yer interested, and can get Hulu or Shonensunday.com ....
(wonder if it'll be subbed?)
-
It should at LEAST be subbed if it's gonna be on Hulu.
-
Woah! Wait! Like a new season of InuYasha, like a continuation OR a remake? Oo
-
The continuation and conclusion. They are animating the rest of the manga to its very end.
-
yayyyyyyyyyyyy
if it comes out subbed on anywhere else let me know :P please
-
Thanks Veehive. =)
-
someone tried to convince me that InuYasha was stopped dubbing for America three years ago (due to lack of popularity?) and that the subs go on further.
BS, but he won't accept when I tell him that the last dubbed episode was the last episode ALL TOGETHER, including in Japan.
-
I suppose this "Final Act" won't have my favorite character,Kikyo, indeed a shame
Anyways,I am looking forward to this series
-
Here's a short trailer for the series: http://www.ytv.co.jp/inuyasha/trailer/trailer.html
-
Wryyyyy,it appears that my prayers for more Kikyo have been answered
Nice trailer

i like kikyo better than kagome too :P
why did you think that there wouldn't be anymore kikyo?

I thought Kikyo was a goner considering that the final chapters did not use her at all
Anyways,good to see her back

The first episode was AWESOME!!!
I've decided to rewatch the first 167 episodes, cause its been a few years since I last saw the show.
I wanted to know if they cut anything for the dubbed version.
Is there any other reason to watch japanese + eng subs?

Abysmal voice acting?
I'm gonna watch it tonight. Unfortunately, I can't watch stuff on Hulu easily. *sigh* *sets up proxies and VPNs*
-
the voice acting is fine... I actually recognize the voices of some characters.
Aside from Voice actors, does the japanese version have anything that was cut from the english?
-
Original is always the best when it comes to Anime. Except portuguese dubbing classics such as Dragon Ball saga and Sailor Moon.
-
Like I said, I don't care about the voices, I just wanted to know if there was anything in the Japanese version that's not in the English version.
-
The puns... the jokes... and some other stuff that gets lost in translation... XD
-

the differences between languages changes the jokes when dubbing. for example when there's a joke about kanji's you don't understand when it's dubbed.
i bought the 3rd season of ranma but i later found out it was dubbed in spanish (since i'm portuguese i can understand what they say) and it was very different the name's of the attack's, the name's of the characters, a lot was changed
-
I've seen the entire series in English once and it never confused me so puns aren't that important to me.
I've already seen the first 6 episodes again, while occasionally checking the japanese alternate to see if there are any differences. Nothing so far.

1- I don't know... because I never saw the dubbed one...
2- I don't know for the reason above...
3- That's easy for you... english is your native language... and watching Inuyasha dubbed for the 1st time without ever seeing the series in japanese... you probably got used to it... (like me and Dragonball portuguese dubbing) XD
Now obviously you won't see any differences...
Maybe they put a very good team dubbing the series to english... still there are things... that even the best dubbing can't take from the original.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that when we grow used to something... its hard to change later on...
-
The main issue I'm asking about is whether or not they cut anything when they aired it on TV here.
InuYasha is a fairly violent and mature show, so I would have expected some cuts, but it doesn't seem that they changed anything based on what I've seen in the japanese version.
I remember that Bleach cut something in the first episode, I think it was a punch or something. From that point I could expect they left everything uncut, as they probably realized how impossible it would be for them to censor that anime.
-
Ah... that... Yes. Inuyasha had a few cuts/edits and when I say few... I really mean lots... XD
And by the looks of it even when they where editing things out they where confused...

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/edit-list/2003-04-22/inuyasha-ep-10
And I stoped there because I was getting confused... they edited normal everyday stuff in one Epi. and in the next they don't edit the gory stuff... XD
-
Okay... none of these "cuts" were actually "cut" from the english versions I'm seeing.
I specifically remember the Un-Mother parts being there when that site says they were cut.
And I remember seeing them when they first aired.
-
I don't know... but those cuts are from the series that aired in Adult Swim... and if you read the part from the Un-mother... they cut stuff and leave other more explicit scenes on... but like I said... this list of cuts are from the editing team of the Adult Swim channel...
-
just saw the first episode of inuyasha the final act!
reallyyyyyy good i got a feeling that this season will be awesome :9
-
Not in my plan to watch list...
-

-
No... its not on my watching list...
I'm not watching it because I haven't finished seeing Inuyasha... so I guess there's no point in my watching that yet...

That's why my plan-to-watch isn't full of 1000 Animes. xD

Yeah, it's "only" at 303. :P
You can't beat my to-watch list though (362 and counting). ;D
-
Yeah... but I know of someone that has more than 300 completed animes... and only a handful on the plan-to-watch...
And another guy that has more than 500 on the plan-to-watch list... but I just think he just went crazy and started adding everything and anything to it...
And me... I really have to put on hold a few animes... I'm watching 21 already (it will go up very soon) and I'm starting to dream about anime... :P
-
Most of my watching list is airing anime, so I only see new episodes weekly.
I cant find the Code Geass R2 picture dramas though, :S

Lucky you, I want some anime dreams too!! :(
-
When I finished Berserk, it was the only thing on my mind for 3 days and nights. I just couldn't get my mind off it. xD
My plan-to-watch is growing, too because I add EVERYTHING that has a 9 or 10 from my friends' ratings OR that someone in any Forum I go recommends it. Unless it's Dokuro-chan. xD
-
my too watch list is only 30 xD
but my friend's completed list is at 362 :P
-
And my on-hold list is where I put Anime's that got selected for me watch in my super-lottery (lol) but unfortunately I can't find the episodes with japanese audio and english/spanish subbed. DBZ is different because I want to watch it in portuguese because it's a part of my childhood. =)
-
