Actually for the longest time Yourichi was in cat form and they called her Mr. Yoruichi. Then in almost the middle of the series you find out that she's a girl. So now I think I finally may... but only may... understand why they had always called her Mr. Yoruichi unless of course they had simply done so to throw off everybody.
