I think Lum is the greatest characther in UY because she's cute and sweet, plus she has wicked powers to zap people (only if they piss her off). If I had powers like that, I would give Britney Spears a good lynching for making bad videos. >:)

sry Moroboshi but i was just joking to when i saw that tiper-triped and tiger-triped i thougt and i quote "that guy is drunk" then i remembered that one day my M and H key refused to work and for talking in msn i used for M (ivi) and for H (l-l or ]-[) lol :9
And Gear morgans horns are a huge bit diferent from lums but i know wat u mean >:)
And for that episode I loved it because when i meet new ppl they always get my name wrong 8)

Almost everyone of my friends (that saw Lum) call me that because im know to be a disaster whit dating lol :) :|

Oh, I usually use "Moroboshi", and if it's too long then it's Ataru's sign from the episode "Happy birthday, darling", when he uses it in an arcade: AM!! ^^
But I never found anyone using nick from UY... DRAGONBALL, JOJO, HOKUTO NO KEN and so on, but nothing about UY... :(

Well Lum is just a name.
Lum's name, character and... proportions were mostly based upon Agnes Lum a Sino-American bikini supermodel who was popular in Japan during the mid-1970's.
It has also been noted in articles about Miss Takahashi that while growing up, she'd often shorten her name and write it down as "Rum" or "Lum" due to the interchangeability of the letters "R" and "L" to the Japanese ear. It's true that Takahashi views Lum as her less inhibited alter-ego. So in a way the character of Lum is also based somewhat on Rumiko Takahashi herself.

Ataru means "to get hit" and Moroboshi means "falling star." The chances of a star hitting someone are pretty rare. His name is a metaphor for his cosmically miserable luck.
